Beautiful and quiet. Close to Staffelsee and Murnau town by car. Really enjoy the resort especially the breakfast and pools. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Great place to relax, will definitely stay again, good value for the money.

The photos don't do this place justice. Excellent buffet breakfast, cozy lawns to relax, the spa pools and sauna and facilities are among the best I've experienced. 5 min drive into Murnau. Friendly and accommodating staff. The restaurant for dinner has nice ambiance but few authentic Bavarian options. Had great dinner in town. Great walking trails in the Moos and Biergarden about 10 minutes away. Friendly bar service, nice location, beautiful views. We bought a 6-bottle case of the excellent sparkling wine to give as gifts. Interesting history of the Blue Rider group in Murnau. Check out the Franz Marc museum in Kochelsee a 20 minute drive away. Will definitely stay here again.

Gutes Hotel
Komfortables und sauberes, mittelgrosses Hotel mit gutem Service. Die Standard-Zimmer sind sehr klein, ab Junior-Suite ist es angenehm. Das Personal macht das beste aus der aktuellen Situation (Covid-19). Leichte Abzüge bei der Frühstücksleistung (vielleicht ebenfalls virenbedingt) und beim Parkplatzangebot (begrenzt). Das Essen im Hotel ist ansonsten ausgezeichnet.

We loved our stay. The staff was the best!! So helpful in every way. The food was fabulous and the room cozy with everything we could have wished for. A very easy short walk to town. Perfect views. We loved every minute!

Hotel is in a great spot, ideally placed for both Murnau itself, and the regional highlights. Very clean, well thought out. Staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming.

The hotel is great, service is perfect, room very big and with everything you need ( except a kettle, that would be great to have one). It’s located inside beautiful area with the moss and the lake. We rented bikes from the hotel. Only there are not enough chairs in the spa area and the food for dinner took very long. But overall we enjoyed the stay there

Unique high end hotel with emphasis on details such as china, professionalism of staff, relaxed environment, outstanding kitchen. The only issue I found is a lot of ...flies around the food.

The hotel stand in a beautiful area, a lot of nature and hiking trails. The rooms are various, ask for room with balcony. Great restaurant in the Hotel.

Bavarian beauty.
Lovely hotel in typical Bavarian style. Our room 63 had been updated and was very nice. The view of the mountains from our room was an added bonus. The bed was a bit hard for me but that’s my only complaint! The toiletries, duck dressed in a dirndle and free mini bar were great perks. The spa and swimming pools are very relaxing after a day climbing mountains or paddle boarding on the lake. Breakfast was also delicious and there was loads of choice. A fantastic 3 nights in a beautiful place.

Very nice Hotel
The AlpenHof is very nice. Everyone was very friendly and we enjoyed our time there. The breakfast selection is incredible. Rooms are nice, clean and modern.

Nice Alpen-style hotel near Starnberger See
I stayed at this hotel only one night for business, but it was quite comfortable. I'm not a big fan of Alps-style hotels (lots of pine, chalet style), and the decor in the room wasn't exactly the most modern, but it was very clean, in good condition, and overall I was happy with the accommodation. The room service food and breakfast buffet were good, the staff are excellent (very friendly and helpful), and you even get to take the Trachtenmode-clad rubber ducky with you, so overall very pleased with this choice.

Alpenhof Murnau
Stayed with adult family. This was my second time here (first for business) and I continue to be impressed with the Alpenhof Murnau. The staff is very welcoming and helpful (they even gave us a ride to the train when it was raining). The breakfast is superb. My family enjoyed the indoor pool and sauna. Much bigger rooms than many European hotels and every one has a view to the Alps. The only drawback is that its a bit away from the town center (20 min. walk).

Excellent location.
Stayed there in July 2015. Amazing experience. Excellent location, very quite, very romantic, close to Newschwanstein, Linderhof, etc. Great location for driving around rural Bavaria. Great location for hiking too. We loved the hotel and the staff. The restaurant was very good, too. Sorry we didn't plan to stay longer.

Hotel location is isolated and away from the city center by walking. It is much safer to drive to the center. We reserved two rooms not connected. However, we experienced load TV noise from other connected room and we can hear the people. The isolation is not good.

Relaxing and romantic
We only spent one night at the hotel, but could have stayed for much longer. The view of the Alps from the room was spectacular, and the room itself modern and comfortable. We spent the entire afternoon in the pool and the different saunas, and also lounged in the relaxation room with the delicious teas offered there. Restaurant was also good, but quite pricey for the quality. All in all, highly recommended hotel, we're definitely going back.

Fantastic- will be back again with our family
We stayed with our two small children for four nights and were thrilled with our stay. It was easy, nice, clean, accessible, and we really do not have one single complaint. We all enjoyed ourselves and the staff and facilities made the visit with small kids fun and easy. We will return to this hotel with grandparents, cousins, and friends and highly recommend it to others.

We are coming back every year!
This is a GREAT HOTEL. The experience here is very personal (staff is very friendly and helpful) and the attention to detail is impeccable. We stayed in a standard room which was the smallest option. The room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains. Check-in was a breeze. In the room, we found fresh fruit and luxuriously soft robes. The bathroom is a perfect example of where they pay attention to detail. I give a lot of weight to my bathroom experience when rating a hotel. At the Alpenhof Murnau you'll find a new but cozy bathroom with a basket filled with spa toiletries and a towel warmer...LOVED IT. The food is wonderful (even for those with less adventurous taste buds), you're a 15-30 minutes drive to the various ski locations, and the spa is RELAXING and SERENE. This isn't a large "impersonal" hotel. This is a luxurious small hotel experience and I can't recommend it enough! We would describe ourselves as frequent travelers and opt for luxury accommodations.

Beautiful setting, you have a view of the moutains from almost every room. Fantastic breakfast room and great restaurant fro dinner. About a 10 minute walk into town. (Murnau).

Wir möchten den Punkt der Garagengebühr kurz erklären. Wir stehen für eine transparente Kostendarlegung. Für jeden Gast soll auf seiner Rechnung ersichtlich sein, für was er bezahlt. Viele Hotels erhöhen Ihre Zimmerpreise um die entsprechende Parkgebühr und verstecken diese darin. In diesem Fall zahlt dann aber jeder Gast diese Kosten mit, auch wenn er mitgefahren oder beispielsweise mit der Bahn angereist ist. Daher legen wir die Kosten offen dar. An dieser Stelle möchten wir auch den Gedanken der Nachhaltigkeit unterstützen, was uns sehr wichtig ist. Was wir nicht nachvollziehen können an dieser Stelle ist Ihre Anmerkung bezüglich der offenen Zufahrt. Die Garagentore sind über Nacht von 23.00 Uhr - 5.30 Uhr geschlossen und werden ausschließlich durch unseren Nachtportiert geöffnet. Absolut traumhafte Anlage direkt am Murnauer Moos mit super schönen Alpenblick. Top Service. So freundlich ist man in Deutschland gar nicht mehr gewohnt. Man fühlt sich richtig wohl. Super Frühstück. Der Pool und Whirlpool draußen sehr schön. Der Garten ein Traum :-) Komme sehr gerne wieder!
