Had a wonderful time. Great hot tub, grill, fire place, porch views, and firepit. Played jenga, enjoyed hikes in back yard and out at leather wood falls park. 10 out of 10 recommend.
We stayed for a few days and loved the cabin which was clean and comfortable. Hot tub on a spacious deck was a very nice addition to overall experience.. A little drive to Murphy if you want to eat out but found some nice restaurants (Perrone’s has great food but call ahead) and shops. Found some hiking trails within 30 min drive.
Beautiful place to stay. The house was clean, comfy and cozy with great scenery and friendly people around. The home is nicely furnished and supplied. Jared is a wonderful host !!!!! Thanks for shearing this beautiful place with us 😊
The cabin itself is gorgeous and the surrounding property and woods that it backs up to is picturesque. My favorite part of the weekend was sitting outside on the back porch and just listening to the quiet. I did take advantage of the walking trail nearby and my dog and I really enjoyed that! The directions to the cabin were very clear. I would not feel comfortable driving up the bumpy gravel road without 4 wheel drive. Since it is a newer development, there are large dips in the road and especially after heavy rains, I don’t see how it would be possible.
Since the cabin was promoted by VRBO as new, I was a little disappointed by the cleanliness. When I first arrived, I took stock of what tools/pots and pans were in the kitchen. The coffee maker was covered in oil splatter and a spoon rest nearby was as well. On the sink, there was a basket with an oven mit, a dish towel, and a potholder. The dish towel smelled so foul that i could not use it. The oven mit was soaking wet. The rug in front of the kitchen sink was very obviously turned over so that the large stains could be masked.
Later in the evening when I went to go wash my face with the towels provided, I noticed that there were hairs form the previous guest (dark tight curls) in the towels and the white towels did not look clean. I immediately washed them in the laundry provided.
The bed was comfortable, but the first night, the “fitted sheet” kept slipping off the bed every time I would try to get on/off. The next day I took a closer look to see what was the issue. The sheet was for a king bed, which this was not. Also, during the first night, the top sheet smelled a bit like body odor and also the top comforter did not look clean. I washed all of them the next day. The comforter already had some threads torn out. Again, I was just surprised with this place being promoted as brand new.
On the first full day I was there I took a shower and the water pressure was amazing! I planned to write an amazing review because I was so surprised at a rural cabin that it was so great. Unfortunately, that was short-lived. On the second day I had no hot water at all. I contacted the owner and he said he was aware of the issue and trying to get a plumber to take the issue seriously since each time he would come out, the problem had fixed itself. He asked me to send videos of the problem, which I did. Unfortunately, no warm water at all that day. :(
The property provided everything we needed. A quiet place to relax and enjoy nature. My husband and I enjoy coffee on the back porch while the kids enjoyed the building blocks provided inside. The neighbors were very nice and offer us firework for smores and anything else we needed. Jared was very sweet in texting us to ensure we had received the map and instructions for check in. Would recommend this place to anyone!
