Beautiful new home at Kentucky Lake with community pool! Close to Murray State!

Welcome to Heron's Rest! Our new single-story home on Kentucky lake is situated on a private wooded 2 acre lot just 0.9 miles to the boat launch with screened back porch, outdoor fire pit, and boat parking area. We are in the Western Shores subdivision which is a 1,218 acre waterfront community located just outside of Murray, Kentucky on Kentucky Lake. It offers year round activities to include a community pool/hot tub, wooded nature trails, and private boat slips that are available on a first-come basis . Enjoy fishing and water sports in the Summer and hiking the nature trails in the Fall. If you are looking for a quiet escape you found it! Our home is located 2 hours from Nashville, one hour from Paducah and 15 minutes from the outdoor activities of Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed, and the two guestrooms each have two full size beds. There are a total of five beds in the house.

Beautiful home

This was a beautiful home that was in a residential area but felt completely private. We made good use of the large well equipped kitchen and of the patio with the fire pit. Everything was clean and in excellent condition. It was a 20 minute drive to a number of very nice hiking trails. Overall, very pleased with our stay.

We stayed here with friends and were amazed by this place! It was the nicest, cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in. The thoughtfulness of the hosts made it so easy and more enjoyable! The house and property were clean and tidy. The little extras were everywhere! We enjoyed both porches, the fire pit and walking out in nature and on the roads. Great girls trip!

The house was incredible! Smartly decorated, great neighborhood, very clean. Lots of wildlife around the property/neighborhood (deer, fox, frogs, hummingbirds). The community pool was very nice with a great view of the lake (9 min drive). We decided to dine in one evening so we picked up groceries in Murray. Kitchen had all of the tools needed to make a great dinner. Used the fire pit and made s’mores. We are planning to stay again :)

Exceptional stay at this beautiful home! The home was clean and decorated like Joanna Gaines herself came to KY! We had everything we needed and then some. We thoroughly enjoyed the amenities….. screened in back patio for coffee sipping and humming bird watching in the morning, napping on the front porch swing, making s’mores in the backyard, swimming in the infinity community pool, and cooking dinner in the fully stocked kitchen! Girls getaway to Kentucky Lake

It was a fabulous girls weekend retreat!! The house was perfect for 5 moms, wives and friends looking for respite in a quiet, secluded area near the lake. The home had EVERYTHING we could have needed, down to all the materials needed for the fire pit. The front porch was perfect for our morning coffee and reading while listening to the sounds of nature. The soaking tub was an added bonus to relax in after a day at the lake. The views from the community pool were stunning and calming making for the perfect pool days. The tankless water heater was a perk allowing us to all shower without worry about getting cold water. I would recommend this place for anyone traveling to the area.

Fantastic Family Vacation!

WOW! For our family vacation tradition, we rented a house to unplug and enjoy time together -----> this property, house and it's hosts were AMAZING! We used every amenity along with the community pool. Met so many nice neighbors in the area and saw so much wildlife (including the bison and their babies)! Beautiful home in a peaceful setting.

Loved the house. Very clean and decorated beautifully. It was perfect for what we needed. The owners were very hospitable and left a goodie bag with snacks and come local jam which was great. We had activities going on the days we stayed so we weren’t at the house a lot so we didn’t get to use the fire pit, but hopefully will the next time we come. The pool was also closed for the season when we stayed so I can’t review that either. We loved the front porch and swing and sitting on the back porch to watch the hummingbirds. Nice to have TVs in all the rooms too. The guest bedroom mattress was overly firm for my liking but my parents liked theirs. It’s just a preference thing. Had to walk to an empty lot on the next street over to get a glimpse of the lake because houses seem to block it in other locations. Maybe when the leaves fall there is a better chance of a view. All in all it was a great stay and we will stay again!

Heron's Rest was the perfect spot for a lakeside getaway with friends. The house is beautiful with a large porch, and the fire pit was nice too. The pool is a short drive from the property, but was more than manageable. Highly recommend booking a stay here.
