Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Gorgeous views from the tenth floor. Easy entrance with key pad. Security at gate was friendly and helpful with new procedures for entering pool and beach area. We adapted to it quickly. We have stayed at One Ocean Place many times and will again. The location by the Conch Cafe is perfect for grabbing lunch when we first arrive. The Condo is located almost exactly halfway between the two piers making it great for walking north or south to the piers. Probably the best moment was the phone call when our unit was ready at 2:30. What a pleasant surprise. Only complain - we couldn't stay longer.

Needs to have dishwasher and freezer grates replaced because they are rusty.The owner suite needs a new mattress or spring because all it did was squeak when sitting on it or moving.Other than that, it was a great week and the three of us enjoyed ourselves.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our month at OOP 1005 very much. We were pleasantly surprised and very happy with the master bath renovation (with the exception of renovation dust residue under the bed in the master bedroom) - the new shower is wonderful. We have appreciated the improvements/upgrades that have occured since we started renting 1005. We love the space and the view. However, as we have noted previously, the living room furnture is exhausted - it is not getting "off" the couch, it is rather a matter of getting "out of" the couch. Other than that, we were happy and pleased with the condo.

The main concern we had is there is a small opening on the balcony that a small child could fit through so we had to put a barrier since we were traveling with two small kids. The kitchen was updated which was very nice! The rest could use an update, but overall we had a great stay!

Clean, spacious, plenty of towels, everything in good working order and everything we needed for the week. The person I dealt with to reserve was very friendly, accommodating & helpful. My aunt inquired with someone else at the realty office regarding extending their stay in the unit and also asked general questions about when rates go up & down. That particular person was not helpful or friendly.

The location could not have been better. There is a loading/unloading area in the garage for luggage and groceries, which cuts down on the packing and unpacking of the cars. The pools and property were well maintained and I liked the idea of a security guard on the property. The unit was very dated and is in need of a kitchen makeover and furniture from the 21st century, but as far as function is concerned everything was in working order and clean and we were mainly at the beach, poolside or on the spacious balcony.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 3rd visit to the Grand Strand. Unable to book property from last visit so this was a second choice. We had issues with the key lock (we were initially locked out) & it took 3 visits from maintenance to correct. They were super responsive, professional and concerned about us getting locked out. Kitchen was beautiful-we love to cook and it was equipped nicely. Living room furniture is old & uncomfortable. We preferred the plastic chairs from the balcony! Mattresses have seen better days. Nothing worse than sleeping on a bad mattress after two days of driving. The previous reviews regarding furniture are accurate. If the furniture was more comfortable, we would likely have booked for next year because we liked the location and property itself (especially the kitchen). I really like using Garden Realty because they are definitely professional, helpful and responsive to problems. I will use them again next year for our vacation plans .

Plenty of room and a beautiful view of the ocean, beach and nightly fireworks along the beach. It would be nice to have a recycle drop off near where you empty the trash. We had to take them to the beach to put in their container.

A non-updated rental property that could use some TLC.

Reviewer Comments: I think that having a designer or someone to come in and show these owners the best placement of furniture for optimal use of space. Space was not the only issue. A TV in the main living space that worked occasionally, that's any family's worst nightmare, especially with rain in the forecast, but a DVD for movies would be a great backup,no that too was not working.Wifi had issues as well. I think we'll pick another vacation rental next year.We were all a bit disappointed for the money.

WAS HOT PART OF THE DAY--THE BLINDS IN THE LIVING ROOM HAD SLATS MISSING AND WHAT WAS LEFT DID NOT WORK LEAVING A GLARE ON THE TV ALL DAY LONG-TOOK THREE DAYS TO FIX BROKEN CEILING FAN IN MASTER BEDROOM-OWNER TOOK MASTER CLOSET ING 2ND BEDROOM AS THEIR STORAGE AND WAS PAD LOCKED-THEY LEFT COAT HANGER FOR OUR CLOTHES. Love this complex

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in two units within this complex the last two summers. It's the perfect amount of space for our group. Having three baths is a great feature because it allows the kids to have their own bath. The couches were a bit worn but otherwise the rest of the unit was in good condition. We drove a larger vehicle so parking in the garage was a bit tight but we never failed to find a spot. The complex has two pools, two hot tubs, it's just steps to the beach and it has great outdoor shower facilities to get rid of the sand. The pool and security staff are always present and helpful.
