Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS: The entire house is very accessible; however, the bed/bath meant for the handicapped has some issues. The bed is very high and almost impossible for a wheelchair user to get in/out of without assistance. The accessible shower needs to be equipped with a handheld shower head. The toilet has push buttons for flushing which are hard for some of us to use. A handle flush toilet would be great. Overall though it's one of the more accessible houses I have ever stayed in. And the views are AMAZING!!

Only complaint we have is the mattresses are in pretty rough shape on a lot of the beds and need to be replaced we felt as if we were sleeping in a sinkhole. We really did not sleep good any of the nights we were there. Also, both trash cans outside were completely full and the trash was piled up all over the ground and had an awful odor. We had nowhere to put our trash until Tuesday.

Great house! Just a few small tips from exceptional

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time in this house. The elevator is super helpful, bringing all of your luggage in and out. The dock and covered area were great, we spent a lot of time here, and caught a bunch of flounder! The kids loved the pool, and the house overall was super clean and well appointed. There were only a few items that we were not a huge fan of. We were excited about the small beverage, fridge, and hopes that we would not have to use a cooler on the porch for overflow drinks, but it was not cold at all, almost unuseful. I hope this unit gets replaced. The pool is also freezing cold. We would absolutely pay extra if there was an option to have it heated, or more temperate. For such a large house, the living room is a bit cramped, it really could use an overhaul on furniture in some more comfortable seating. Hopefully these are fixed by next year!

The house layout and the exterior is wonderful. I do have a few comments:1)Once we arrived and were putting our stuff away, my daughter and granddaughter walked throughout the house bare footed. The bottoms of their feet were black after walking around inside for a very short time.2) There is a fire pit in the yard that was had trash and a lot of cigarette butts in it.3) The pots and pans in the kitchen were very limited. There were 4 very large stock pots (4-6 gallon capacity), not typical for use while cooking a meal, one large saucepan, 1 medium and 1 small. The flatware was in short supply considering the house sleeps 14. We only had 11 and did not have enough "normal flatware" for 2 meals.The cooking utensils were hardly adequate. Most of them were very poor quality. The cheese grater was about 4 inches tall and could not have cost more than $1.00.I'm sorry to be so picky but we enjoy the vacation time together and cook most of our meals during the week. I feel that considering the high rent charged for the week, the kitchen would have been equipped a lot better than it was. Very disappointing and frustrating when we cooked.I did not call Garden City Realty about the dirty floor or fire pit because I felt like this summer has been very difficult for them with the shortage of people working and so many people vacationing at the beach this year. We vacuumed the floor and ignored the fire pit.Thank You!

However, although the latest we were supposed to be able to enter the house the day we arrived was 4:00, we could not get inside until about 5:30 because the cleaning was not done until then. Also, when we stopped at the rental office to check in the line was at least 40-50 people long. Better procedures need to be put in place.But Reel-axing is a house we will return to next year. The pool and dock are wonderful and greatly enjoyed by all.

A bedroom and bathroom for each couple was a luxury and the pool was never unused. Dock well equipped for all our fishing needs including an outlet that we could run a drop cord to charge the boat battery. Kitchen well stocked with every appliance and cooking utensil you could need. Whole family enjoyed their stay!!!

We were concerns with the pictures that there wouldn’t be enough common living space or room at the table for everyone. There is plenty of room and ample dining space. Close to the beach, sunsets over the inlets are amazing. Will stay again for sure.

Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and the eating area accommodated all of us. The house was clean and very comfortable. But the highlights were fishing from the dock and swimming in the wonderful pool. It was amazing how little we went to the beach. We have always stayed on the beach before but we will be coming back to this house again next year.

Garden City Realty worked with us with date and we were able to get a whole week in . The house was perfect for my family . Everything was new and clean . The pool area is where we lived .Even used the fire pit one cooler night . My sons crabbed and fished all week . Because of the storm , we were able to find beautiful shells that we have never seen before . Also thinking that he had escaped a flooded river , we watched an alligator swim the Marsh one day . Lovely house , beautiful marsh views and really liked having ample parking for several vehicles . Would rent again .

Florence Evacuation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Best house we've ever rented; however, we were evacuated 48hrs after arrival. Can't begin to explain how disappointed we were and still are. We would highly recommend the home and plan to try again next summer. I have to say we are disappointed with Garden City Realty, though. We would have thought they would reach out to us since our family vacation was abruptly aborted. They could have at least expressed empathy towards us. We spoke to other evacuees that stayed in hotels and learned that those folks are being reimbursed for their trip!!! This leads to my next complaint... NOT IMPRESSED WITH RED SKY INSURANCE that Garden City recommends. We submitted our claim over a week ago and have NOT heard anything yet!! Aside from a fabulous beach house, the trip experience was a huge cluster.

Reviewer Comments: truly fabulous 2nd time we stayed there this year. 3 times in past 2 yrs.house lives up to its name .. the sunsets from the inlet decks are great for the photographer or photographers at heart to capture. prior to finding this house we stayed ocean front BUT this house and setting doesnot hold a candle to the ocean front homes we have stayed in .. and beach access is across street .. 4 GENERATIONS have shared this house and is accessible to all .. THANK YOU.
