Best hotel in Oman

The Chedi is the most amazing hotel we ever stayed (and we travel quite a lot!) Everything was perfect, great facilities, nice gym lessons, amazing food, really quiet and peaceful. The grounds are absolutely beautiful from pools to the gardens. The spa is the only facility that doesn't match the high standards of the rest of the hotel. We will definitely come back.

This is a terrific hotel with several restaurants and pools , great service and lots of places to enjoy the sun . The beach is not great and the food is very overpriced but we still enjoyed it .

Lovely peaceful luxury resort by the ocean

The suite was lovely, a good size, and everything was perfect during our stay. Staff were prompt and always helpful to our needs. The suite hadlight switches/dimmers which is a refreshing change from the useless light solutions most modern hotels have where you can't set the lights how you need. Would happily come back to this hotel for the experience.

We had a lovely stay at the Chedi in Muscat in early April and found it a very relaxing place to stay with family including teenagers. The staff were very friendly and courteous. One suggestion is to improve the atmosphere by arranging some activities and themed nights to engage the guests.

A magical stay in Muscat

A simply wonderful stay at The Chedi, the property is beautiful and the staff are just superb, they cannot do enough for you. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and I would highly recommend the club rooms as the additional extras included are well worth it - limo airport transfers, daily afternoon tea followed by cocktails and canapés plus laundry! The food in the restaurant is of highly quality. Overall, cannot recommend The Chedi Muscat enough!

This is a very special hotel where you feel looked after to the highest level. The staff are superb and the pools and gardens stunning. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the club facilities. We ate in all the restaurants in the hotel and all were exceptional. Some areas of the bedrooms felt a little tired and the beach was not the most picturesque but this would be the only negative I could find and would not warrant awarding less than 5*

It was a wondrful stay , but only issue if you order taxi fron otaxi they will not allow them to come inside you have ti go out side Had an absolutely pleasant stay at Chedi Muscat , super welcoming staff , great place with so many activities. The only issue we faced was the transportation, unreasonable prices to be honest you cant book a taxi from outside the hotel or you need to walk all the way to the gate to reach your transportation ! So i highly recommend renting a car before going there .

Your own palace in Muscat

Paradise in Middle East. Just a amazing hotel with fantastic pools and location on the beach. Like walking in a royal palace. Staff is super friendly. Recommend room with club lounge or suite as it gives you a lot included. Bring your own wine as it is very expensive in Oman. Would encourage the hotel to have staff clean the private beach each morning for plastic waste.

Still the best hotel I have stayed in, one year on from writing the same after a previous stay. Great facilities, peaceful, fantastic dining options, but what makes the Chedi special is the staff. They really do care and it’s not about being paid to care. It is not family run, but it might as well be. Everyone from the gardeners to the management actually does want to look after you and make your stay special.

Had a really good time at The Chedi. Got a free room upgrade upon arrival which was nice. One of the best things about it was the cleanliness of the entire property, room etc. minimal bugs too. The only down side when it came to cleanliness was that I think the pools could be cleaned a bit more regularly as we did sometimes find things in the pool but this is to be expected to some degree as it’s by the seaside too. Breakfast was amazing, top tier and couldn’t have asked for a better breakfast and the staff service was very good. The only other downside was that you have to take the hotel taxi if you want the taxi to pick you up from right outside the front door, this is problematic as the hotel taxis (Marhaba) are at least double the price of the normal Otaxi you can get elsewhere. To get an Otaxi, the taxi drivers must wait outside the hotel premises as they are fined if they enter the main pickup area which means you have to walk out a few minutes to get that taxi which isn’t too much of an issue but not ideal.
