Delta Hotels by Marriott Muskegon Convention Center
6/10 Okay
"My wife & I were in town for 1 night to enjoy a little getaway. We booked this hotel based on photos & location.
The hotel itself was incredibly clean & attractive. The staff were very friendly & polite. The room was a nice size & overall incredibly comfortable. Everything was neat & clean & housekeeping is definitely doing a great job.
Our only complaints regarding our stay was the general maintenance of the facility. For reference & so you can avoid the issues we had, or if by a long shot management reads this maybe they can make sure the issues get addressed, we were in room 303.
The first issue we had was minor & would not have affected our review, it was just an inconvenience but could lead to a major problem for the hotel. When showering, the glass doors would not stay closed. They need adjusted as they would roll open 8” while showering. We had to wedge a washcloth under the bottom of the door to keep them shut & prevent water from dumping on the floor outside the shower. This was just an inconvenience for us but could lead to loose tile flooring, mold or even damage to the ceiling below if not addressed.
The main issue is that there were somewhat strong winds the night we stayed. Our room overlooked the roof of the hotel. There is an obvious seal fail or caulking issue on the window. ALL NIGHT LONG we listened to a whistling sound from the wind. Neither of us slept much; it ruined a great trip. The next morning we were exhausted & spent the day trying to sleep. "
"Room was very cold upon entry and took a long time to warm up. Clock radio was broken and buzzed all night. Sink faucet leaked on bathroom floor.
Room was clean and sufficient for a weekend stay. Bed was comfortable and clean."
"The front desk staff was incredible and helpful . The walls were a little thin but overall everything was great. The room was clean, shower was great and the heat in the room was awesome. 10/10 would recommend staying here. "

10/10 Excellent
"Fridge was broken all week told the worker named yoshua at the desk multiple days in a row. He said he would do something they came and looked at it, then nothing. Finally after 7 full days I caught a nice gentleman not sure of his name but very respectful and handled it within the day. "
"DO NOT STAY HERE! I needed a place to stay for my small business trip and I understand that you get what you pay for. First gentleman was nice but the tall man of Indian descent was rude at checkout when I asked for a receipt of my deposit going back on my card. I couldn’t understand his accent so he started yelling at me saying they don’t give receipts. My room was okay but there was hair in the shower and on the day of checkout there was a roach in the bathroom. They have two buildings which one is a long term stay that is very dirty and the outside of both buildings are in horrible condition. It wasn’t until I entered the second building that the hallway looked decent. The road that the motel is on looks like it’s on a closed street with many potholes that I passed it up on my first attempt. I should’ve listened to my gut and gone elsewhere but I was exhausted from a three hour drive plus an eight hour workday. Stay at your own risk. "
