Upgrade

Had reservations at a different resort and was very disappointed. Messaged the manager/host to see if this room was available that night and it was. He was so good he was able to get us an early check in with my elderly mother. Best experience. Will plan to return. My 4 boys all loved it here. So much to do.

Another great vacation

We had a great experience with this rental. We knew the layout as we had been to this resort previously and it was perfect for the 4 of us. JW was great at sending plenty of helpful info ahead of time to help make plans for our trip. We love having the option of the kids pool, the main pool or the beach. The kids had activities to do throughout the day and we even enjoyed a night out while the kids enjoyed the kids night in activities. Overall, we had a great experience at the resort.

Summer vacation

Property was very nice and clean. Minor issue at check in. It was supposed to be 4pm and we were unable to get in till 6pm. Pool gets quite crowded and it can be difficult to seating by it. Otherwise, everything went well.

Great location in Myrtle Beach

Far enough from boardwalk that the beach is not crowded but close to many attractions and restaurants. Property has all the amenities and activities that you would want. Unit was very clean with a great view of the ocean. Owner was very helpful.

Excellent property in Myrtle Beach

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Oceanwatch resort. The owner's communication was excellent from start to finish, even supplying us with directions, attraction suggestions, etc. He was very clear letting us know that we were guaranteed an oceanfront, 2BR, 2BA unit, but beyond that he couldn't assure us of which building or floor. Although we hoped for a unit with the wider balcony, we were in a unit on the corner of the Starfish building. It was absolutely ocean facing, but a large part of our view was also the roof of the Scallop building. This is the only "negative", if I had to find a negative. Everything else was outstanding. From the ease of check in (with Nita, I believe - who was very helpful) to the super fast elevators, to the newly refurbished unit (so fresh and beachy and spotlessly clean), to the abundance of towels made available in the unit, to the comfy beds - we were made very comfortable. (Note: We were a party of four, but had we been 6 or 8 it would have been tight.) The pools were pleasant - particularly the Serenity Pool - with plenty of seating available. We were delighted with the foot sprayers all along the walkway down to the beach. Umbrella and chair rentals are available on the beach. High marks to the lifeguard who remembered us by name each day. We had a very enjoyable vacation and would visit this property again.

enjoyable time on vacation

owner was vey helpful to us even before our visit started. He supplied us with driving direction from our home, ideas for activities for our family, and names and directions to area restaurants. He also explained what we should expect to find in the unit and where to go when and if we needed anything By doing this we were able to just drive down and start our visit . The resort is amazing and staff so friendly and accommodating. our family will definitely be coming back
