our room was perfect! the view was beautiful, and it smelt like fresh lemons.We had to leave for a family emergency and they did not hesitate to give us a refund for the night we were unable to stay. The pool was always clean, the hot tub was always hot and clean as well. You can not skip the Tiki bar, the drinks were AMAZING! The resort has a private parking garage and it is very safe and convenient. Lastly, the staff was so nice, and always inviting.

We love coming here. We have stayed in this same place for the past two years. The owners are easy to reach, and the room is kept in great shape. It is perfect for our family. The extended balcony is an added bonus. We will continue to come here every year.

Overall pleased and would stay again. Our room was very clean and there was plenty to do for the kids. The cafe that served Starbucks was really great for the mornings. The 4 star review for cleanliness is specific to the hot tubs and water park area…could have been maintained a little better in my opinion but everything else was perfectly clean.

Exactly what we needed

We stayed at the Dunes in Myrtle Beach for a gymnastics competition (family of four). The full size fridge and kitchenette was great; however the microwave did not work well. The kids favorite part was the water park and heated pools, which were such a great amenity in cold December!

Building was old and a bit outdated. Pullout couch mattress needs an upgrade - either a new one or a comfy topper, it was VERY uncomfortable. View was amazing and room was mostly fine - kitchen was nice to have, bathroom needs better finishing work, the caulking around all fixtures was messy. The staff in main building very friendly, lots of kids activities to join in on top of the water parks, pools, beach. Access to the beach was perfect! We enjoyed our stay, location was perfect in our opinion but we had a rental car to get to the popular areas, as we said the view was amazing and just what we wanted, and being able to leave the building to the beach was great! We are ones that at times just view the room as somewhere to sleep, it was clean and aside from the pull out mattress was comfortable, so if looking for fancy 5*'s, I wouldn't say that but i feel like rest makes up for anything the room or building ascetics lack.
