"We had a wonderful stay with Deep and Julie on their Catermeran. We enjoyed some wonderful sailing and anchored near an Island for the night. We had a lovely evening sharing stories over dinner and watching the sun go down! I was impressed how warm and cosy the boat was and how well we all slept! Waking up surrounded by nature and beautiful scenery in the morning was very special and we enjoyed basking up the sunshine before setting sail. "This place was hip, stylish, fun, never uptight, and exceeded my expectations at every turn. I loved the sleek fast elevators, the great cocktails at the bar, the beautiful room design (look at the photos -- it's even better in person -- modern shower and countertops, innovative lighting, blackout shutters operated at the touch of a touchscreen on the bedside -- WOW! -- the list goes on), very helpful, multilingual, and responsive staff, the umbrella rental in the lobby, and the best part of all -- it's a 2-minute walk from the Spaklerweg Metro station, from which you can get anywhere in Amsterdam in a snap. Spaklerweg is also one stop away from where you can catch intercity/sprinter trains to Amersfoort, Utrecht, The Hague -- anywhere you want. Great location, great room, great amenities and convenience. I tell everybody now -- don't stay in downtown Amsterdam where you have to worry about bugs, pickpockets, narrow stairways, disrepair -- stay the Ruby Emma and take the Metro in each day. It's like a 10 minute ride. SO EASY and spared us all sorts of headache and worry. This is the way to do Amsterdam! One word of warning: our room on the 18th floor had a glass shower that opened directly into the sink area, which is connected to the rest of the room. We were on our honeymoon, so we LOVED this paradise of intimacy, but others might not want that. So check and make sure there are other room designs available if that's what you need."

"This property is awful. Feels more like a condemned mental hospital or a prison. Rooms are filthy, AC does not work, place has an awful smell. We only stayed there to be close to the airport for an early flight, if i had to do it again i would have just had my family sleep in the car."

"Very dissatisfied. Room size smaller than my room on cruise ship. A/C in room did not work no matter how we adjusted thermostat. View from room was of other hotel rooms. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and this was very overpriced for quality of room. Checking out to get bill copy was a complete "train wreck". No order or directions to make check out easier. I could have done express check out, but i wanted to see my bill to be sure it was correct. As a Hilton Honors member, I could not recommend this property to others."
