Excellent location, very friendly staff, and a tasty breakfast buffet. The hallways do have a damp, musty carpet smell, probably from the humidity, which can detract a little from an otherwise pleasant stay.

The staff were helpful and the breakfast buffet was brilliant. The coffee was superb and probably the best coffee I've had in Japan. There is a range of great regional Japanese fare as well as salad bar, fruit, pastries. The hotel location is central and there's lots of restaurants in the same building in the Tower.

Staff at check-in counter are cheerful and very helpful. The hotel is well maintained and the room is clean and neat. The only drawback is you can hear the sound of trains passed by the railways at night.

Hotel is convenient location but is quite a walk as getting to the hotel lobby requires you to change from one lift walk a distance and then take another lift to the room. It is well located in Takashimaya so food options are a plenty!

The JR Tower Gate Hotel is so beautiful. The rooms are a nice size and the beds are so comfortable. We loved how close the hotel was to all the shops, restaurants, and trains.

Excellent hotel in Nagoya. Rooms are small but very comfortable. Great views of Nagoya from the day bed. The building has everything you need including a mall and wide selection of restaurants. We went to the wood oven pizza place and it was as good as we’ve had in Italy.
