The 3rd floor mattress was great seemed new, the other mattress were less desirable but ok. We understand mattresses are a large expense but would love to see better ones in homes. This was easy to assecc easy to keep clean, and was close to everything.

I love how we had so many people come over and yet it still didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house, 8 bedrooms total, 6 have private bathrooms. Everyone had privacy, yet the common areas are large and inviting. The house is a described, has been updated but we had some small issues. The gas grill was filthy and the extra tank was empty. We didn’t grill because we thought it was a hazard. One of to refrigerators had a leak, it was reported but a repairman didn’t show. Some bathrooms didn’t drain.All in all a great house, many decks. The pool is nice size but the area is small with limited seating

We love the house, the location only one block from the private beach access, close to stores, shopping and sightseeing. I go with my three daughters, their partners, and 3-4 grandchildren. Very spacious house

The house was very well-equipped with needed items. We found the large kitchen table was a plus; we were all, 14 of us, to enjoy meals together as a family. And the new furniture in the living room was very comfortable. The patio furniture was also very comfortable & relaxing for drinking morning coffee or relaxing after a day at beach.During my stay, if there were any problems, damages or questions, the office & maintenance were very prompt in responding to ensure our vacation experience was top notch.I would consider staying at this property in the future but only if I know that most of the beds and/or mattresses were replaced. The mattresses were very worn and a few bed-frames were loose, wiggled. In one of the twin bed bedrooms, there was a smile of pee.Thank you for making our vacation one of our best.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was lovely but a bit basic, believe it or not. The elevator was a blessing, but there were several everday items that seemed lacking.Tons of dishes, but only one serving spoon. No pot holders, only one trivet. 5 coffee pots, but only one small colander. A weird mix of items that lead me to believe that renters have purchased items for their stay and left it behind for the next people. I think most of the issues are lack of awareness or care by the owner. In general, we didn't have many issues though even after maintenance did some trouble shooting, a few of the TVs never did work. Prompt and friendly, maintenance was amazing...he repaired/replaced two balcony door knobs while we were there. The location was great, and beach access was so convenient! There were very few "extras" at the house...not beach gear or anything that most owners seem to include. I know we can rent gear, but this is the first property we've been at that didn't have something! (We've been OBX renters for decades)

My family visit to the Cape May house

The pool and the hot tub were all in good condition. This is the third year we stayed in this same house. The new owners have done a lot of work on improving the house. However- one bed broke on the first floor and we had to take it apart and put the mattress and box on the floor. I contacted the Service department by calling the after hours number. Then the next day I contacted both the realty office and the service department through the Hospitality App. No response. I also called the Housekeeping department on Friday to let them know, I had to leave a message. No response from anyone. Now we had some strong men who could take the bed apart and still use the mattress & box. But what if the people were handicapped? They would have gotten no help at all.

The only drawback is that it's right on the beach bypass and cars can be a bit noisy. The homeowner was a big help if we had an issue and got it resolved quickly. Beach Realty also gave good service. My only suggestion would be to bring your own sheets if you have any allergies. Otherwise, a nice stay for the price.

We had a crew for dinner and did not run out of dishes or silverware. Well stocked kitchen. Loved having 2 DW and 2 refrigerators. I have to take 1 star away from the rating for the spotty wifi. Wish list: having heat in the pool. We wanted to use the pool but it was a little cold this year for the first week in May. Also a small sofa or soft chairs in the game room. Thank the owners for us. We made some lasting memories.

A 50th College Reunion

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We chose the Cape May rental for our vacation. Immediately upon our arrival, we could see that the rental is very clean and tidy. The house is beautifully appointed, the living and dining areas are very spacious, and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. The bedrooms and bathrooms filled our needs, and the outside spaces are great areas for gathering. The pool and the elevator made our entire experience very comfortable and pleasant. As a group, we agree that this is a perfect rental for a group who may sometimes want to be all together and individuals who sometimes may need quiet time. We had a great vacation/reunion.In preparing for this get-away, I had reason to call the Beach Realty office. On every occasion, the staff was responsive, informed, and gracious. Each employee should be proud of their customer service response. I couldn't ask for more from a rental organization. While we were there, I noticed some water in the HVAC closet. I called the number provided, spoke with the representative, and a worker was there immediately to fix the problem. Can't ask for more than that.

Relaxing spring break getaway

The location is excellent - short walk to beach access, easy drive to great restaurants, Jockey's Ridge, and other kid-friendly attractions. Quiet street in the off-season and it was great to take the dogs for beach walks several times a day. Clean house and we didn't notice any of the uncomfortable beds that other reviewers have mentioned. The major issue for us was that the house changed ownership a few weeks before our stay and the new owners did not get the house ready. 1) The air conditioner that cooled the lower two levels was broken and wasn't repaired until halfway through our stay. Thankfully, it was April and not too hot, but bedrooms got super stuffy and due to loud neighbors, we couldn't sleep with windows open. 2) The cable and wifi were turned off and required three visits from the property management company and then the internet company to replace physical gear and activate the account. This also took several days to clear up. Both internet and a/c issues meant that we repeatedly had to return to the house early from activities to be there while repair people were in the house due to our dogs being with us. 3) The kitchen lacked basic supplies that are kind of in the interest of the owner to provide, like trash bags. And if you want to have salt and pepper, better bring your own!

Reviewer Comments: The location of the house is a mixed bag. It's great for being close to things, but with the drawback that there are more people on the beach and the view from the back is of a shopping center. It's close to many activities, which is why we decided on the Nags' Head location. The house itself was a great size and very well designed for our group of 12. Each couple had their own room with bathroom and all of the kids had their own rooms except for two brothers who shared a twin room. Almost all of the bedrooms had their own bathroom. The only ones that had to share were the two twins. There are also two powder rooms, one on the living room level and one at the bottom, which were convenient. The house was clean except for the hardwoowd floors on the top level, at least, which were very dirty and in need of refinishing. They were well vacuumed, but desperately needed damp mopping. Our feet were filthy from walking barefoot on them. There is a vacuum available, which was handy for 12 people and a dog. If there had been a damp mop available, that would have been great. I had to use paper towels to clean the kitchen floors a few times and would have damp mopped the wood floors if there had been a mop available. A Swiffer would be a great addition. The beds would benefit from a 2" memory foam topper. The living room couches need replacing. The kitchen had two refrigerators and two dishwashers, which was great. There were plenty of glasses, plates, utensils, etc. The pool and hot tub were in good order.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed 9/24/22-10/1/22. The house was as clean as it could be, however, the rooms with carpet had so many stains. The top back deck is completely unsafe. The wood is so rotted and loose. It’s definitely a safety hazard. The complaints in previous reviews have not been addressed. The outside lounge chair were completely broken. The ice machine in the rec room was broken as was the ice maker in the kitchen refrigerator. I’ve rented many homes in OBX over the past 20 years and this was the most disappointing.

And when a man came to look at it, he didn't fix it. Be cause of this, we ended up getting sand in the pool which we tried to avoid doing. The house has everything we like and it suits our family very well. However, it was not as clean as it was the year before. Overall, I do recommend this property to my friends. This year we went to the Wright Brothers Memorial and went on a Ghost tour in Manteo.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great house in a great location. Home met all our needs and we had a wonderful time. Shopping is close by and you can even walk to some places. Kitchen was well equipped. Game room was great for everyone. Hot tub didn’t work and the grill was in rough shape. Shower outside didn’t work and the ice maker had mold in it. Overall we had a great time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was perfect! House was perfect size for what we needed. The house definitely needs some attention. The chair on the main level porch was broken. A couple of the chairs at the pool were broken. The condition of the grill was unusable. The towel rod in room 7 was hanging off the wall when we got there. The sink in room 7 was coming off of the wall. The toilet on the main floor (upper) would not stop running. There was a cover for one of the ceiling lights missing. A couple of the box springs were ripped underneath. Other than that, the house was great!
