I especially appreciated the location; while it’s a little distance from Stockholm, that only adds to its charm. The quiet surroundings made it feel like a true retreat, far from the noise, yet still conveniently accessible. Overall, a wonderfully calm and rejuvenating stay."

"The promo for this hotel on Expedia was very misleading. We wanted to stay on or near Vaxholm. This hotel ad claims to be right near Vaxholm but it is nowhere near it, unless maybe you have private transportation We paid for the room at a non refundable rate . It is hard to get to Vaxholm from this hotel without a car. We therefore could not stay at the hotel. In fact, we immediately realized that as soon as we made the reservation and called the hotel and contacted Expedia but Expedia said the hotel will not refund the reservation money,.even though we explained the problem within minutes of making the reservation. Beware."

"Lovely location but let down by service level. Stay there every year, but this year there was a noticeable lack of attention by the staff. Few smiles, long waiting times to be served and an apparent lack of customer attention. Not as it used to be which is a great shame."
