The host was great at communicating. The home was clean and well furnished. The beds were also very comfortable! I’d return in a heartbeat, especially since it’s in a great location right near downtown!
The home is gorgeous! It felt luxurious to just lounge in the living room amid the antiques and tasteful decor. The bocce court is a nice touch. And the location is convenient.
Great location and price for a quick trip to Napa. Enjoyed walking to town (Winston’s has the best breakfast!) and being close to the highway. Two changes that would have made the stay even better (a TV in the living room and better bath towels). Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the historical touches!
We loved this property! The character of the place made it so much more fun than staying in a hotel. The location was fantastic too. I HIGHLY recommend this property for a Napa getaway!
Four of us did a quick trip to Napa for Crush this year. Had a great stay at this property. Adorable historic charm and excellent location. Short walk to all of the tasting rooms, restaurants, and shopping in downtown Napa.
This could not have been any easier! The hosts checked in before I arrived, as well as the following day to be sure we had everything we needed. The home was super cute, clean, and the location was perfect.
Beautiful small 1930’s house with similar time period furnishings. Hist was excellent and very responsive during checking process and in immediately taking care of a small maintenance item that cropped up during our stay. Perfect location for short walk to downtown Napa. Very, very nice property.
Booked the house for a weekend stay with a couple of my girlfriends. The house was so cute and clean. A quick walk downtown to restaurants, wineries, spa, and shopping. Great place to stay and great host.
My daughter, her fiancé, and my husband and I loved the house and will definitely stay here again! Such a great neighborhood, close to everything and just overall an adorable house! Clean, well taken care of and very comfortable! Five Stars!
If you love historic houses, this is for you! We had a slight snafu with check-in, but after an hour or so the host was able to reset the entry code so we could get in. The house itself is very well maintained and we loved learning about the history of it. The street is very busy during the day, but Napa shuts down pretty early, so it was quiet at night. About a 20 minute walk from Main St. Gorgeously maintained house, comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen. Our only regret is it was too cold to play bocce -- next time!
We had the most relaxing two-week stay in Napa, made perfect by our FJ Massa house accommodations. The house has it all: convenient location to downtown and the freeway to the wineries and Valley; comfortable beds; a fully equipped kitchen for cooking meals in and a bright breakfast nook or dining room for enjoying them; a beautiful garden area for afternoon reading; books; and so much more. Our hosts were super responsive and the house was immaculate. Whether you’re planning a get-away weekend or an extended stay like we had, the Massa house offers a cozy (yet updated) return to the 1930s that will delight history and architecture buffs while accommodating the needs of the contemporary vacationer.
Beautiful and charming 1930’s Spanish Colonial walking distance to downtown with many original features and furniture. This historical home was gorgeous and we loved seeing the picture of the original owners hanging in the dining room. It had an adorable sunny breakfast nook off of the kitchen to enjoy your morning coffee, a front patio for soaking up some sun and beautiful grounds with lovely Camilla flowers and plenty of trees. The host was very communicative and friendly and it was the perfect place to unwind and relax. The beds had luxurious linen sheets and duvet covers and were very comfortable. We can’t wait to come back during the summer months to enjoy the bocce ball court and the rattan loungers. A real gem and a nice change from the generic gray rentals that seem to be everywhere.
The house is beautiful inside and out. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. The only "downside" and I use this term loosely, is that it is on the main thoroughfare and was a little noisy at night. All in all we had a wonderful stay.
beautifully decorated with period piecesA tad dark for my tastes, could use more lighting. A TV in a common area is needed - watching a show as a group in the bedroom - a little awkward!
Wonderful stay as our base for trips in Napa and Sonoma. Historic home had wonderful charm and was well appointed. Walking distance to downtown Napa - enjoyed that in the morning to the Model Bakery for coffee and pastry!
