Beautiful Inn
It’s a beautiful Inn with a very nice and helpful owner. Room was large and very comfortable. Hope to come back to the area and will definitely stay here again.

Bad staff behavior
Awful. I watched a mean, vulgar woman go off on several people. She was aggressive, and unrelenting. She is one of two things: (1) angry and vengeful; or (2) clinically crazy. She single-handedly ruined the evening for everybody I love, and for no acceptable reason as a business owner or human. Later, we returned for my phone, which I hastily (and stupidly) left in the reception area, but only because this horrible lady at the inn was unrelenting. As my husband grabbed my phone and tried to leave unnoticed by the owners (I’m assuming a married couple) the husband approached him on the front porch to “come back inside for just a moment.” I actually thought he’d say something like, “I’m so sorry for what happened earlier” or similar. What he said was, “I’m going to ask you to leave our building right now.” Why on earth would you invite my husband back inside to ask him to leave. I travel 10 nights each month, on average. This is the weirdest, and most offensive, experience I’ve witnessed in over 20 years. I feel for business owners, especially those in a similar position. But the best thing for this couple, and any other prospective guest: leave the hospitality industry. You both waited until we were completely hostage, and punished all of us for what seems like a bitter position on life. I pray you sell your business, so nobody else has this experience ever again.

The owners of the property Pat and Mike made a us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were amazing and the rooms were tastefully decorated. We stayed for 3 days and had a awesome time

Thanks for the high score and yes, our 'convenience' center comes in handy for our guests. There's also a small table/chairs for eating a snack as well as a refrigerator & glasses for your favorite beverage.

Comfy Bed Great Breakfast Awesome Location
Fantastic location, service and breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and the good conversation during breakfast, which was made for us fresh and delicious. Lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance.

The Lakeview Inn is a great bed-and-breakfast located in the heart of Naples. It was formerly a boarding house for the female staff that worked across the street at the hotel, so there's lots of interesting history to the building. The innkeepers are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Several restaurants within walking distance on the lake - I thoroughly enjoyed the lobster roll at Freedom Cafe. The Lakeview Inn is definitely worth an overnight stay.

Wish you could have given us some reason as to why you felt we were just average. However, I see that you checked in after 8:00 pm and left before breakfast so you really didn't use the facility or try our homemade breakfast.

Great stay!
Great stay - hosts (Patty and Mike) are accommodating and open - happy to share local knowledge about food, biking, beaches, etc. Very hospitable. Breakfast is yummy. Room is clean and comfortable. Beautiful area. Recent visit over the Fourth of July - lots of Sebago Lake State Park fun along with biking and lake time and exploration. Really relaxing and enjoyable.

Thanks Kathy for the great review. The lakes region of Maine is often overlooked when people plan a visit to Maine. We live in a beautiful area full of outdoor activities all year round and have some of the clearest lakes in the nation.

Definitely book a suite on the fourth floor. Very comfortable. Good breakfast. Great location. Great hosts, Mike & Patty. Close to the White Mountain National Park for hiking and scenery. Highly recommend.

Very friendly staff & clean rooms
We stayed at the Lake View Inn for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly, professional, and offer lots of suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the area. Rooms were clean and decorated nicely. The only reason I gave the room comfort a 4 instead of a 5 is because the rooms do not have individual climate control. We were on the 3rd floor and even though it was the end of September, the room was quite warm.

Great Inn By the waterfront
The Lakeview is a nice place. The location on the waterfront is fabulous if you plan to see and do the things this town has to offer. A ride on the Songo River Queen for example. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the innkeepers were very nice. Good change from a hotel.

Lakeview Inn was perfectly located for us, just a few steps off Long Lake. The proprietors were most friendly, breakfast was delicious, and we were delighted by the afternoon treat. Our room was small but charming (although no lake view from our room). We would stay here again if back in the area.

Check in was nice. The room was comfortable except the two chairs were like cane kitchen chairs so didn't lend themselves to curling up and reading. The porch and common areas were lovely. When we left after breakfast the lady I gave my key to just asked if I had paid, no "thanks for staying with us" or "come again".

So sorry for the oversight of not saying 'thanks for staying with us'. You left during a 16-room check-out time and things were extremely busy. If a thank you was not given we are extremely sorry. Some of our rooms do not afford the space for big comfortable reading chairs - that's the reason you find so many of them in our common spaces and outside. Next time book directly on our website & you can choose the room you want with a comfortable reading chair.

Wonderful location. Walkable to restaurants, lake activities, etc. Beautiful building with historic character and features. The host, Mike, was friendly, helpful and he is also a wonderful cook!

Yes we are conveniently within walking distance of more than 10 eating establishments (in the summer months) and any sort of water activity you can think of and the walk along the causeway is beautiful this time of year. Glad you had a good time.

Lovely Inn in beautiful position .
The family who own this were most kind - the free cookies were absolutely delicious . The downside is that there was no restaurant within walking distance , and at $162.72 per night it was quite expensive .

Spent 3 nights. Accommodations were adequate and what you would expect in a small town with seasonal demand. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were small. This is essentially a bed and breakfast.

Yes, we are defintely a bed and breakfast, and yes, the type of room you reserved (a comfy queen) is the smallest and least expensive room we have. Next time choose one of our deluxe rooms, which provides a much larger bedroom and bathroom. Thanks for staying!
