We had to reschedule our Donegal holiday, and Noreen was so understanding and compassionate, so we had to get to Dal Riada and enjoy her wonderful hospitality. This is a great base for seeing most of County Donegal, on a quiet hilltop overlooking the sea."

Only thing I would say is if you don’t know how to light a peat fire research it , lol we had Donagle family to show us the way. But it was wonderful staying here, you can’t go wrong especially if you have a large group with all the bedrooms. I would definitely stay here again "

"Breakfast was included which was the best perk to be honest! The Lodge felt a bit like an afterthought, but it was worth it for the price and to get to use the hotel's amenities. The walk along the lake was gorgeous. The bathroom shower was tiny - hard to use - and the showerhead was a bit broken. The room didn't have any AC and the fan was broken so that was a bit of a bummer. It got really hot in the room. Overall, wouldn't stay at the lodge again (just get a room in the actual hotel) but it was worth it for our quick 1 night stay. "
