Downtown Franklin is a vibrant blend of historic preservation and modern sophistication. Great location from downtown Franklin, The Factory, and historical sites. We loved the enjoyable walk downtown for breakfast at the Frothy Monkey. We also attended the Grand Ole Opry for their 100 year anniversary night which was awesome! Getting around from our home base was easy and enjoyable. The Blakely’s Stone Cottage was comfortable for the four of us adults (room to spare, with a set of bunks that were not even used), and we had along two small fur babies, who enjoyed a fenced in back yard. We had everything we needed, as far as equipment and serving pieces to prepare a lovely Thanksgiving meal! We would highly recommend this awesome home for a family gathering in the quaint community of Franklin!
The property was charming and welcoming. The hosts had everything we needed in place and responded quickly to our questions. You couldn’t ask for a better location to enjoy the city of Franklin!
This house was even better than advertised! Clean, perfect size, charming and very updated! So easy to stay here and the owners are very communicative! A great trip and so close to everything in Franklin
We had an amazing time staying in Blakely’s Stone Cottage. It was very convenient to downtown Franklin. The hosts were amazing and kept in contact with us making sure things were good throughout our stay. Of course the house is historical, but on the inside it had all the comforts of a newer home. Very clean and nice. We would definitely stay there again!
We had a wonderful time visiting family in Nashville over Labor Day. The hosts were very responsive to our questions and the property was in a wonderful location. Would definitely visit again!
We really enjoyed our stay. The home is very clean, well supplied, and comfortable. The walk to downtown is about a half mile and follow a street filled with beautiful historic homes.
This is a lovely little getaway with 2 living areas and large kitchen. Newly refurbished, comfy beds.
It is in an older area of Franklin that is mixed use and being gentrified.
Wonderful hosts.
Our family stayed in the Blakely’s Stone Cottage for two nights and it was perfect. We are local to the area and needed a place to stay during a move. The house was exactly what we needed. We were able to bring our two dogs and our whole family relaxed for two days while we waited for our new house to be ready. The house is historic and has been lovingly updated. The historic charm has been preserved while allowing for modern updates. It was clean and comfortable and had plenty of space for the 6 of us. The host was very responsive and kind. This would be a perfect spot to come and explore Franklin and rest at the end of the day.
We loved this home... beds were comfortable, the video games a nice extra... our kids even got us to play a little. Great location for everything in Franklin. Loved the little extra touches... popcorn, tea, very thoughtful. Thanks for an easy in and out, wonderful stay.
If you do not like staying in big cities like Nashville, this house is ideal. The house is very comfortable and spotless. The fenced yard is perfect for your dog.
As advertised it is a short walk to civil war sites. And a short drive to the Natchez Trace, Leiper's Fork, and Nashville.
Perfect!
We enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage near downtown Franklin. It was a quick couple of minutes drive to downtown where parking can easily be found at the 4th Street parking garage. The house is stocked with everything you could need for a comfortable stay, board games and puzzles to entertain the kids, and a cute little coffee/tea bar in the kitchen (I especially loved the electric tea kettle!).
Very nice place, close to downtown. We spent our mornings and evenings sitting in the court yard watching the birds.
Easy check in host was quick to respond to any questions we had that is not always the case
We had a great time. Owners are very friendly. We had everything you could need. There was construction next door. It did not interfere with our stay. Our 4 year old granddaughter loved the games and Pac Man.
The house itself was very cute. My family and I enjoyed staying here. We had some trouble with the AC, and the host came and fixed it as soon as he could be there. The hosts were very responsive to messages whenever I had questions. The house was clean, and stocked with amenities. I would definitely come back.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property several months ago, so rented it again. On this visit, we had some time to enjoy the second-floor sun porch at the front of the house. It is a great place to watch people and cars go by, or to read a book. We were very comfortable in this home and plan to book it again.
My family loved our stay at the Blakely House. Blakely House is a historic home that has been beautifully redone. The home still has so much of the historical charm with all the modern conveniences. The hosts also had a great area with maps & information about the beautiful town of Franklin. We were visiting the area because it was a convenient spot for a tournament we were in but ended up loving the town of Franklin.
We loved our stay & we'll definitely choose Blakely House again. The
First and foremost, our hosts could not have been more communicative! We were utterly impressed with their care and consideration over our entire stay. The drive is shared with two other abodes and the neighbors were friendly and helpful! While this house is historic, the renovation and furnishings are top notch and very comfortable! Definitely would stay again!
Our stay was not only superb, featuring a spotless home with all the amenities, but also has a facinating history. Our hosts were the best, most communicative from the start. Home was warm and welcoming. Parking was ample behind the property which was a short walk from the Carter and Lotz historic homes. We are looking forward to a return later this year, God willing.
