Welcome to Brooks Run - A 1920s Cabin in Beautiful Brown County, Indiana

Situated in a private, wooded setting in scenic Nashville, Brooks Run Cabin boasts an original log interior with thoughtful upgrades, allowing the space to be the best of both new and old. Relax in the hot tub, wrap up in a blanket by the stone fireplace, curl up with a book and coffee on the screened-in front porch, play with the dog or kids in the fenced-in yard, enjoy board games at the kitchen table, or spend time outside around the fire pit. No matter how you choose to spend your day, Brooks Run Cabin offers a peaceful, relaxed, and inspiring atmosphere where you can reconnect with the people and things you love.

This is our vacation home—named for our dog, Brooks, and the brooks around the property—that we are sharing with family, friends, and guests when we aren’t there. We truly hope you love the cabin and area as much as we do! While the cabin keeps its 1920s rustic charm, you’ll also have all the modern conveniences and new furnishings throughout. Great for a getaway for two, with the first floor having the main living spaces, a queen bedroom, and a full bath. Perfect for families, couples, and groups, with the upstairs having an additional hangout space, a half bath, and many different sleeping options along with a reading nook/loft space.

Located 5 miles from historic downtown Nashville, where you’ll find restaurants, craft breweries, wine tastings, art galleries, and many unique shops. Close to Brown County State Park for all that nature has to offer. A quick drive to the Brown County Music Center and minutes from Salt Creek Golf Course. Brown County has something for everyone! We can’t wait to share our home with you!

Little getaway

Was a very nice location. Close to downtown and very peaceful. Ashley has stocked the home nicely with anything you could think of and then some. Definitely a great place to stay.

Dog vacation

My daughter and I --and the dogs--are from Cincinnati and have never been to Brown County. This cabin was perfect! Great location and cozy! Convenient to everything but far enough away to be relaxing. And the fenced-in front yard was perfect for the dogs. Thanks for thinking of of everything we'd need!

Perfect cabin!

Such a beautiful cabin, had everything you could want! Secluded, yet close to downtown Nashville restaurants, shops and hiking in the state park. We would absolutely stay here again. Gorgeous fireplace, spacious screened in porch and fenced area for our dogs that was perfect.

This cabin is absolutely perfect. Amazing setting, incredible hosts who thought of everything, and a great value. I almost don't want to review it because I don't want anyone else to take future dates when we'd like to visit, but we've already booked a return visit in the Winter! Y'all need to check this place out!

Perfect!

We have stayed at this cabin several times now. It’s literally perfect! Always clean, stocked with all amenities anyone would need. Location is private, yet still close to restaurants, shops and a short drive to IU Campus. We just love this place!

Property was beautiful and check in was a breeze! You can't find many pet friendly rentals! Cabin had everything you could possibly need. The only thing is I wished the hot tub was warmer, it only got up to 65 degrees.

My husband and I loved our stay at the Brooks cabin! It is so cute, thoughtfully stocked, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed all the amenities offered and can not wait to come back and visit! The cabin sheltered us from the crazy temps this week. It was the perfect little cozy getaway for us before we welcome our babies this fall!

Family Getaway

Our family stayed her for a weekend fall getaway where we celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect and such a wonderful and beautiful cabin. This host went above and beyond. The drawer full of chargers and batteries to dog treats to extra blankets to facial masks to a beautiful serene atmosphere….this place is perfection and I did not want to leave!! I will be back for sure.

Great stay at Brooks Run Cabin

Excellent property, location, and amenities. Several storms came through and the power went out. Great to learn that the property has a whole house generator. The upstairs was great for the teens. The dog and parents appreciated the fenced dog run off the front porch. The location is halfway between Bloomington and Columbus so it is an excellent choice for a Southern Indiana vacation. About 12 minutes from Nashville and Gatesville. The owner was excellent with communication. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer! Thank you for great memories

Peaceful, cozy and convenient

The cabin was beautiful, cozy and had everything you could possible need. I brought everything I thought my family may need for 4 days, based off of experience with other cabins, and was seriously impressed with how much I had overpacked as the hosts had literally THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING…Crock pot? Didn’t need to lug it, they had one. Coffee? They had it. I could go on and on with how awesome of hosts we had! The fire pit was relaxing and the house itself was the epitome of cozy! The best part was we weren’t too far from everything. My family has been coming to Brown County for the past 15 years and I have to say this tops the charts on best stays!
