Property was typical downtown Natchez. That was part of the reason I stayed there. Location was a nice part of town, off the beaten path, but very close to the Main St shopping/restaurants. The property owner was very easy to deal with and helpful. Would stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay. The apartment is in a very convenient location. The only problem we had was wall units didn't work and it was very cold. We had 2 infrared heaters but they didn't keep it warm.
First of all, to us, this was a great location for everything in Natchez. Close enough to historic Natchez to walk. We like to walk and we spent a couple of our days exploring Natchez. Also, super easy drive to all the tourist attractions just outside historic Natchez...and there are many.
The apartment is a great 1 bedroom on a quiet street. All the comforts of home. The street parking was easy and never crowded.
By Sunday afternoon we were tired and came back to the apartment for some rest and NFL. Nice TV. Nice channel options.
An A-plus stay.
Pretty, little comfortable apartment. Perfect for 2 people. The owner was so sweet to have drinks & muffins for us. Plenty towels & things we would need for couple days. Good heat & air system. It felt like a home. We weren’t sure about the neighborhood but it was ok. We enjoyed our stay. We wish there was better parking. Parking is on the street but again it was ok. We enjoyed Natchez and will return.
Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
There was an issue with one of the Wall units and it couldn’t get looked at until after our stay was over but the owner was very willing to help how he could. We enjoyed our girls trip very much.
My husband and I just needed a little break from the hustle and bustle of our lives. We found the perfect spot in the Melinda 1. We had everything we needed, and the place was so beautifully decorated! Chris was the perfect host, coming to my rescue when I found I left one of my essentials at home. Shane and I definitely got the rest we needed!
We loved it! As a history buff, I loved just seeing all the original/old elements of the home. When we arrived it was very late, and the side walkway was a little hard to find at first (probably because we were just exhausted) but I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious the rental was when we walked in. It was very comfortable and clean and the owner was responsive to all of my questions. Would love to stay again!
There was a bit of confusion upon our arrival of which was our side of the house. When we figured out which side we found out there was still someone in the house. Speaking with the owner it turns out he was not expecting us on the day we arrived. He stated he has made it clear to VRBO that he wants a day between renters. He was still cleaning the other apartment and so no apartment was ready for our arrival. We had to wait an extra hour. Ended up getting the other apartment and not the one we had originally requested. They were similar but not the same. In the end it worked out. Was not impressed to share the tub / shower with some bugs both mornings. Maybe that is normal in the south. The three gun shots outside the house at 01:00 on our first night was a bit unnerving for this combat vet.
My husband and I chose this place for a nice little getaway and it was comfy and cozy, and a nice place for us to come back to and warm up after our adventures of the day.
Wonderful location. Had everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood. There for Balloon Festival which was amazing! Great entertainment and learned lots about hot air balloons.
