Cozy Cabin on Lake James with Private Beach and Boat Dock

  • This unique Vacation Getaway is located on Beautiful Lake James at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina. The waterfront cabin is the perfect place to Relax and enjoy the beauty and Sounds of Nature! Here you will enjoy your own Private White Sanded Beach equipped with Chairs where you have the options to Fish, Swim, Kayak, Pedal Boat or soak up the sunshine. As a guest you will have unlimited access to (2) paddle boards, (2) Kayaks and a 5 person Pedal Boat during your stay. The property has its own covered boat slip/dock with Rocking Chairs for your use and enjoyment. Also there is a hammock, gas grill and a Fire pit (wood is provided).
    The Public Boat Access Ramp is conveniently located 1.2 miles away. Also close by are several hiking/nature trails, waterfalls, Lake James State Park, local Breweries and Wineries.

    Asheville, home to the Biltmore House is 45 minutes away, Chimney Rock/Lake Lure is an hour away, the Blue Ridge Parkway is only a 20 minutes drive and Grandfather Mountain/Snow Skiing is one hour away. The Bear Creek Marina/Store/Restaurant is a short .02 walk from the cabin. At the Marina (during season) you can find Great Food and Entertainment from local talented musicians on Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s. Enjoy Lake James!!!


    If you are Looking to rent a boat during your stay at Lake James, we have a Bennington 22ft Pontoon with a 90 hp motor that you can rent for the day or for the entire duration of your trip.
    The charge is $350 per 8 hour day and if you want it multiple days there is a discount!

One of the most beautiful places on this beautiful lake. I can’t say enough good things about this cabin. The location is amazing and amenities are great. Beds are comfortable and the view is outstanding.

Wonderful place to stay!!!

We loved staying here! There are so many nice outdoor areas to enjoy .... the porch is so cozy, the beach is wonderful - especially for our dog, and sitting on the dock first thing in the morning having coffee was so relaxing. Loved all the outdoor string lights at night and having a fire in the fire pit!

We had a wonderful long weekend at this lakefront VRBO! The cabin was cozy, clean, and just the right size for our family of three. The bear-themed decor was charming without being overdone. We loved swimming in the lake, and the outdoor area with the fireplace and beach was perfect for relaxing and having fun. The paddle boat was a great touch, keeping us entertained all weekend. Highly recommend this spot for a family getaway!

Lake vacation

Truly enjoyed our stay. Mother and daughter trip. Fabulous location, very clean and excellent amenities! The sandy beach area was a huge plus. Easy to get boat, paddle boards and kayaks in and out of the water. Communication was responsive and quick. Highly recommend this property.

Wonderful!!!!

We were living our best life here, hiking close by in the morning, then hanging out in the water for the afternoon. It was a wonderful location and had all the amenities you would need on the lake! We had a great time!

Wonderful

We had such an amazing stay at the cabin. The private beach with the paddle boards and floats was so relaxing and very quiet. Had two young kids that enjoyed the swing and did marshmallows around the fire a couple of nights. In the last morning woke up early and there was a little deer in the front yard. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will definitely be returning.

Quiet private beach

Everything outside was the best Private beach with water toys. Covered boat dock Pro-quality barbecue Fire pit Many tables and chairs Covered porch with chairs The inside space was a bit small but adequate Host was very helpful when I locked us out and also with tv start up Weather was perfect so we were able to take advantage of the outdoor amenities Great location and easy access to lake

When our dog had an allergic reaction, host got Benadryl to us very quickly. Lake was very peaceful but did run into some issues. AC in living room turns on then immediately turns off, tv is insanely slow and only allows movies on their Amazon account, cannot log into your own, Netflix does not work. No power steering on the pontoon. Kicker was being woken up to move our car for a mulch delivery, just wish we were warned but that definitely affected the rating.

This place is exceptional!!

Loved, loved, loved this cabin! The view from the property is absolutely beautiful! The outdoor space is second to none. We got to meet Kimberly when we arrived and she was just lovely. We were able to enjoy the outdoors even during the rain with the lovely covered front porch. The beach area was a great place to play and to relax in the shade. There is too much to say, but you will not be disappointed! This is a great place for a getaway for 2. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful and serene

We stayed over Labor Day weekend and absolutely LOVED this property. As described the cabin is small but very cozy! Just perfect for the 2 of us and our dogs. Anything you need is provided. I have to say the private beach is one of a kind. All kinds of water toys and I used the paddle boards for the very first time. We will definitely be back’ Thank you Kimberly for everything

Lake James Beauty

This tiny cabin is adorable and perfect for 2 adults. What a great location for water fun and mountain hiking. We would come again:). I’m not sure how 6 people would do, perhaps if 4 are small children. Note that the loft is not big enough for an adult to sit up. This did not matter for us. We loved this cabin.

Unpretentious Lake Vacay

The host for this property is outstanding. She was communicative and accommodating to our needs. The lake part of this property is unmatched. You won’t be disappointed by the private beach and dock, water toys, and views. The one drawback is the size of the sleeping quarters. I believe the listing says it can sleep 6. I would say it can sleep two adults and two small children. If you’re a couple or small family you’ll love this property. We enjoyed our stay with two adults and our pup.

We have been with virbo for years, we trust them. With that said, this was the best. 3 days of rain but the kids had a ball. Owners are the most accommodating ever. We will b back for sure for longer. We absolutely loved it here. Don’t waste money on local campgrounds, this has it all.
