Perfect! This cabin was the perfect size for my wife and I, and in a great location for our visit to Nederland. We look forward to making it our headquarters for our next trip.
Base camp for hiking in the Indian Peaks Wilderness and southern Estes Park. Easy walk to Nederland, with a couple great eateries (New Moon Cafe, Kathmandu restaurant) and groceries. Don't miss the amazing rock shop in town!Place was clean, comfortable for two guys. One used the bedroom (a little tight around the edges, but with excellent reading lights), the other a fold-out memory foam queen mattress. Great porch, comfortable sitting, excellent bathroom and kitchen. Coffee provided by host - most tasty:)
I stayed here with a high school buddy while we visited the area. The house is comfortable and very clean. We really enjoyed the area and the location of the home.
This was our first time in Colorado and we stopped at a few cities. We loved this place and Nederland. Very cute place and perfect for what we needed. The town and hikes around also made it a great experience. I would definitely stay here again
Needed a place for a quiet refresh retreat and this cabin was perfect. Super quiet neighborhood, easy access, near stores and restaurants, although you still feel like you’re in the mountains. Very comfortable with all the extra touches, like good coffee, tea, butter, etc. would definitely stay there again.
The cabin is conveniently located overlooking the town of Nederland, yet on a quiet, dead end street. It was immaculate and full of quaint mountain cabin charm; check in/check out was a breeze and the owners were gracious and helpful. Will definitely use this location as a home base in the future!
My son and I stayed at the Nederland Cabin for an extended weekend, while attending a ski race. It was a great place. We enjoyed the location in town and the quick drive up to Eldora. Great owners, super helpful and communicated everything we needed. Overall, I would recommend to anyone and would stay there again.
Stayed for three nights very comfortably. Close enough to the things we like RMNP and Blackhawk. Two great dinners at Cross Cut and Kathmandu. Enjoyed sitting out back in the mornings. Hope to stay again!
We arrived late on the check-in evening and had no issues getting settled. The cabin is clean and well stocked with the little things that make things nice. It was chilly outside, but the heater worked great.
Overlooking the quaint town of Nederland, this older, but well maintained cabin is a great place to call home, while you explore Nederland.
The house was very cozy and just perfect for a weekend get away. It was very comfortable and close to town. It had everything we needed. I think we could have stayed a week and been very comfortable- the kitchen had everything we could have wanted to cook in. There were plenty of pillows and blankets. It was so nice to sit out on the porch and enjoy nice conversations with one another. If we are ever up that way again we would definitely like to stay there!!
My 2 sisters and I spent 2 nights at the tiny cabin in Nederland. The cabin was perfect for the 3 of us and is centrally located, so visiting nearby sites was a breeze. It is also just a short walk to town, where there are plenty of unique shops and restaurants. The house is clean, well-stocked, and has lots of fun antique and vintage items to check out. We especially enjoyed the front porch in the evenings. Checking in and out was easy, and Darren provided clear instructions and information to make our stay more pleasant. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to start our Colorado adventure!
My two teens and I were very comfortable in this thoughtfully laid out cabin. A wheelbarrow planter full of blooms offered a cheerful welcome. The cabin was a perfect stop in our Co road trip after a weekend at RMNP where we did alot of hiking. Ice cubes and cold filtered water in the fridge, along with a fresh stick of real butter, made us feel very much at home. My teens loved the reliable WiFi after days without. Although I hoped to see local historical mining sites like near-ish Gold Hill (open weekends), we were there on a Mon-Tues which saw all attractions closed. Nonetheless, that afforded us a chance to catch up on needed rest and enjoy the comforts of the cabin. The porch affords a nice view of the surrounding Rocky Mountains and forest as well as the Barker Meadow Reservoir to the east. A five minute walk away is the New Moon Bakery which offers a delicious Pistachio Rose Croissant and Almond Joy Latte (chocolate, coconut, coffee). A lovely rest stop.
The description of this property is definitely spot-on: cozy and comfortable. While the bedroom and bathroom are tight, the living area layout and kitchen make this place seem larger than it is. In the warmer months the front porch and back patio expand your living options. There is an authentic old-time miner cabin feel to the house but, other than no dishwasher, the appliances and other amenities are modern--I loved the coffee grinder and whole beans provided and this is a very well stocked property! The view out front and the well-forested mountains beyond remind me of a Kentucky coal town out here in Colorado. There are a surprising variety of restaurants and activities within walking distance but if you do walk to town you will have to walk a couple of blocks back up the hill to get home. We were here to ski Eldora and it was very convenient by car. Be aware this is a house and there is no HOA so you may have to shovel the porch stairs and walkway in the winter, but it's not much of a chore. Also, the neighbors are pretty close and while there are plenty of windows to let in lots of light, you may not want to change in the bedroom without drawing the curtains! Our host checked in with us shortly after we arrived to make sure everything was as we expected, which it was. When we left, I forgot a pocket knife with sentimental value and contacted Darren about it. He located my item and shipped it back to me--thank you Darren and thanks for allowing us to enjoy your place!
We felt at home here. The house was so cozy and the layout was so well thought out. We loved that there were many essential items for us to use if needed. We will definitely be back and would recommend staying here 100%.
Husband and I stayed a weekend here for a quick anniversary getaway and loved it! Had everything we needed and was very clean. Liked all the antique touches and how peaceful it was, yet close enough to town that we were able to walk everywhere. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching all the hummingbirds. Owner was communicative and check in/check out was a breeze. Would book again!
Everything was wonderful! Owner was terrific and quickly responsive.Bedroom is super comfortable but very small. Also what was listed as pull out couch is really a futon.Wonderful decide and amenities were best I’ve seen
The cabin served as a great base camp for hiking in the Fourth of July Trail area. The cabin was very well laid out and had all the comforts of home plus lots of mountain charm.
Darren was great accommodating my off-time arrival and getting my phone charger back to me. The cabin is right downtown and really clean, comfy, with a lovely kitchen. Highly recommend for a small group.
