"We enjoyed 2weeks in this 2nd floor apartment in a small village near Trier. The location made it easy to visit city landmarks or hike in the nearby forest paths. The apartment was very clean, well furnished and very comfortable. A special bonus was the beautiful outdoor garden, exquisitely maintained by the owners, who are on site. We also appreciated the owners’ extra effort to communicate with us in English."

Wir durften Sommerwetter geniessen auf der Terrasse mit Fernblick nach Westen Bilderbuchsonnenuntergänge. Zwar liegt die Wohnung nah dem Gewerbegebiet, war aber ruhig. Lediglich tagsüber etwas Verkehr durch Autos, die wg einer Baustelle im Städtchen eine Ausweichstrecke nehmen mussten. Das wird sich 2026 von selbst...

"Wir haben drei schöne Tage mit unseren Kindern und Enkeln hier verbracht. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gut eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Für die Kleinsten gab es eine gut ausgestattete Spielecke, ein Hochstuhl und ein Kinderbett waren ebenfalls vorhanden. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieternin lief sehr unkompliziert, ebenso der CheckIn und das Auschecken. Und hat es rundum gefallen!"

"The air conditioning was broken. The lady at the front desk said it was broken for a while but we were not told upon checkin...come to find we were sent an email that same day about the issue as we are traveling abroad we obviously sometimes are out of cell signal. They should have booked us to a nearby hotel. "

"When we were there (June 2025) reception opened at 1600 and was off-site. You had to phone a number to get a key safe code to obtain your room key. When phoning, you hear a recorded message in German. Sadly, we could not understand the message so had to rely on the restaurant staff (who were on site) to help us connect to reception. German speakers would have no problem but non-Germans may have a problem. Another issue we had is that the hotel states it has an EV charging point - it does not! However, there is an ultra fast charger about 500m away next to Aldi. So, if you're hoping to charge overnight whilst sleeping, it's not possible. Once we obtained access all was well. The staff were great, the room was clean and the bathroom was spotless. There is a very good restaurant within the hotel building and the food is excellent. In the morning, breakfast offerings include continental and cooked. Again, excellent quality. All in all, we found this to be a very nice hotel with very helpful staff (once we'd battled the language barrier to actually get in!)"

"Just back from a visit to Idar-Oberstein. Parking was easy, I arrived after 10pm so reception was closed but a staff member was able to quickly get me checked in. Room was perfect for my stay. Hotel is close to the Felsenkirche and castles. The Norma shop is 2 minutes walk away and there are several places to eat in the square."

The hotel rooms are pretty clean and the location is amazing if you like to do more of walking or hiking. It was a bit private place, not much noise from outside. Just pure Nature.
