"There is no road for car to that villa. You have to park at the neighbor and walk through the dirty and small road and some temporary bridges that are made from a piece of wood or just small tree trunk. We reached there with a dirty room without water. "

"we had a very bad experience at this hotel. Indeed, when we arrived the room was not clean, the sheets were stained with blood... everything you consume on site (water, coffee) is excessively overcharged. At the end of our stay we also had the unpleasant surprise of having to pay an additional $40 for finding a broken lamp in the room (value $3). The hotel owner threatened to keep our passports if we didn't pay and threatened us with having problems with the premises. Total scam!"

"Clean modern rooms. We stayed 2 nights here. Cons: Our bidet was leaking water from the hose connection which caused the room to smell badly of sewage, hotel staff were able to fix it after the first night. Breakfast was mediocre with limited options included. Birds kept landing on the serving utensils at buffet breakfast, not sure how they could prevent that but not the cleanliest. Pros: Amazing location right on the beach with a good size pool! The room aircon works great had to turn off at...

"The property is extremely isolated so guest are very much restricted to purchasing over priced meals from the resort.

"Complete peace and quiet on a private beach. Total relaxation away from civilization.
The only thing I missed was a larger selection of dishes and more fresh seafood/fish on the menu."

A prendre...

"Friendly staff good location
We felt this property was very run down and we didn’t want to stay there as it was quite dingy and depressing
Stuck it for 2 nights and moved elsewhere for another her 5 nights and enjoyed port Barton
Shame as this place with a bit of TLC could be a little gold mine - as it stands it’s 70% empty "

"Lovely quiet resort right on the beachfront. The beach is very clean and clear. You are able to snorkel straight off the beach. There also is a small boat to hire. Delicious food at reasonable prices and fantastic sunsets. The accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable. Only cold water available, but not an issue in the heat. The room had a fan which was enough to keep cool at night. Lovely place. Highly recommended. "

Summer Homes Beach Front Resort and Cottages Port Barton
10/10 Excellent
"Depends on your preference, as a filipino we opt for rice in the morning. They also have other breakfast if you don't eat heavy in the morning. The staff were really nice and approachable. The room we stayed was clean and decent. Highly recommended."
"Our stay at Coconut Garden Resort was unforgettable! Nestled on the beautiful Cagnipa Island, it felt like our own private paradise. Although the forecast predicted rain, we were lucky to enjoy two full days of sunshine—perfect for exploring and relaxing.
The house reef just off the beach was a highlight—amazing snorkeling right at our doorstep! The resort's menu and food exceeded our expectations—fresh, flavorful, and with great variety. Every meal felt like a treat.
The staff were fantastic—welcoming, attentive, and always ready with a smile. And we absolutely loved the resort dogs, Momo and Toytoy—sweet, friendly companions who made the experience feel even more homey.
The boat shuttle to and from Port Barton was scenic and smooth, adding to the adventure. For most of our stay, we had the whole island to ourselves, which made it incredibly peaceful and special. A group of about 15 guests arrived after we left, so we really got to enjoy that serene, castaway vibe.
If you're looking for a unique, off-the-beaten-path island experience with great hospitality and natural beauty, Coconut Garden Resort is the perfect escape. We’re already dreaming of coming back!"

"Ocean paradise: I think that's the best way to describe this place. It is a marine protected island with a wonderful reef. You can snorkel and see amazing fishes, corals, starfish and turtles!
In the price the food is included (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The crew is amazing and they are trying to do anything you ask for. They played beach volley with us and they also showed me a pull-up bar where I could continue my training.
The place was destroyed in 2022 by a typhoon, and they are slowly trying to fix it. It can now host about 15-20 people at most, and you live in a hut type of house where there is a private bathroom. There are also hammocks and sunbed all over the place.
If you are a solo person, going there is weird as there are only couples 99% of the times. I've stayed for 4 nights, but I can easily go back there and spend another 10. It's true that there is not much to do apart from, running, swimming, snorkelling, beach volley, basketball, pull up bar, etc. But this simply life fits me so, I can stay there for many days.
The night sky is also incredible and you can see sunset, moonrises, starts, milky way, etc. The only downside I see is that they are keeping most "street" lights on during the night, so you cannot really enjoy the dark night sky, but it's a matter of going around the island and you have your peace.
It's really paradise on earth!"
"When you enter the property gate, you find a beautifully laid out courtyard. Reception and the dining area is small, and comfortable. The rooms are very clean and I found mine quite spacious. The owner, Juvy and her son Karl, were absolutely wonderful. They provided great advice in terms of what to see and rendered assistance regarding my transportation issues both coming to Port Barton, and leaving. The owner goes out of her way to make your stay a comfortable one. Breakfast basics are included, and if you want anything extra, the prices are very reasonable. This property is great value for money and I strongly recommend it. I’ll definitely book with them again when I return to Port Barton "
"Great service, beautiful beach and surroundings. It just had everything you need for a beach trip and they organise you tours and shared transportations."
