Beautiful Creekside Country Home with EV Charger

Edelweiss is a lovely 2 acre country home on the banks of beautiful Smith Creek, just 3 miles from downtown Wimberley. This spacious home is great for families or friends with an open layout and custom kitchen. The home boasts 2.5 baths, 3 bedrooms (king, queen, and two bunk beds), plus a large game room with a pool table and 2 additional twin beds. The large fenced yard is great for kids and pets with horseshoe pits, a badminton net, fire pit, hammock, picnic table, expansive deck and charcoal grill. The home backs up to Smith Creek with a scenic view of the creek just below the backyard and lovely stone steps down to the water. We think you'll love this house!



The name Edelweiss belongs to a delicate white flower made famous in The Sound of Music. From the morning songs of the chirping birds to the evening orchestra of the frogs and toads along the creek, the Hill Country is definitely alive with the sound of music! Enjoy the creek behind the backyard, watch the deer as you sip your morning coffee, strum your guitar beside the fire, challenge your friends to a game of pool, have a family BBQ on the gorgeous back deck, snuggle up by the fireplace, or lounge in the hammock. There's something here for everyone!



We are environmentally conscious and offer a level 2 EV charger, recycling, compost, eco-friendly soaps and cleaning products, recycled paper products, and a reverse-osmosis filtration system for drinking water.

Pet Fee:
Our pet fee is $50 each for friendly, leashed pets. Please declare pets at time of booking (max 2 pets without prior approval).
VRBO NOTE: Vrbo only charges one pet fee, so a 2nd pet fee will be added after booking, if applicable. 



Creek note:
Smith Creek is a spring-fed year 'round creek, however creek levels and flow can be affected by periods of drought. When full, the creek is great for swimming directly behind the house and is about 5'-6' deep. We cannot control nature, though, and cannot guarantee that the creek will be swimmable during your stay. It's an amazingly gorgeous spot no matter what the water level may be!

This was the second visit to this home and once again it did not disappoint. The home is spacious, clean and well equipped with anything you may need. There are laminated instructions around the home about everything (TVs, trash, composting, details about local dining, entertainment, etc.). The hosts have thought about everything. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

The house was as beautiful and spacious as it appears in the pictures, with a big fenced in yard with plenty of chairs and games. Great location, about 5 minutes from the Blue Hole and downtown Wimberley. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. Definitely recommend!

Exactly what we wanted

I just can’t say enough good things about this house. From the location to the entertainment, we had such a relaxing stay. The amenities provided entertainment to our sons and their friends while my husband and I were able to just relax. The location couldn’t be better as it is minutes from Blue Hole and Wimberley. It was clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We really enjoyed and appreciated the month we spent at lovely Edelweiss. It is a great place to escape mid-winter Wisconsin. It, and the hosts, exceeded all of our expectations.Some of the best features were: Difficult-to-find fenced yard and large deck; we loved it and the dogs loved it. Wood-burning fireplace which we used 6-8 times during the cooler evenings Inviting dining area Excellent WiFi and Internet access Great heat, hot water/pressure and air conditioning Well-equipped kitchen; we ate-in most breakfasts and dinners Great game room and back yard with lots of activities Prompt and effective communications with the hosts Wimberley and vicinity are an excellent setting

Relaxing family fun

This house has it all! Plenty of room for everyone, games, pool table inside and outside volleyball and badminton! A grill and picnic table on a patio with twinkle lights. You can walk down to the creek from the backyard and sit on the bench to relax. Beautiful!

My family found the house easily and with plenty of parking. The property was clean and inviting. The interior common areas were bright and spacious for family gatherings with plenty to do. Outside had a fire pit and horseshoes which we loved but with our short stay did not get to take advantage of. There were even dog towels for the wet paws and dog treats. The owners were very accommodating and responsive to our questions/requests. Would stay here again, but for a longer stay.

No view of neighbors in the back - just a creek. Volleyball net, fire pit, horseshoes, good charcoal grill. Pool table and games inside. Our family with dogs loved it. A house was being built across the creek on a hill. It’s almost a half mile away. No bother when complete.

5th stay at Edelweiss

My family loves this house...it's perfect for us. We love the backyard and all the activities it offers. Jennifer and Greg made significant changes since we were there last, with major upgrades to the bathrooms and bedrooms. My 87 yr old father very much appreciated the removal of the bathtub and installation of a walk-in shower with handicap access. He felt safer, which brought all of us peace of mind! Thank you Jennifer and Greg for being great hosts!
