Overbooked and reservations canceled without prior notice or a courtesy phone call. The front counter informed me at 9 p.m., after a long day of traveling and work, that my reservation was canceled. After asking a few questions as to why, I learned that supposedly they tried to call me at 11 a.m.- no missed or unknown calls did I receive and they tried running my card on file, which, again, is untrue; my reservation was to pay at the property. I had no suspicious activity or fraud alerts on my account. Last, they said Expedia was informed of the cancellation again; not true another lie. So after a little back and forth I asked how do we make this right and i was told there was nothing they could do. Not sure why; my only idea is that they gave my room away due to being booked from a third party. My situation might be an isolated incident, but at the end of the day, Expedia customer service came to my aid and helped me with new reservations, which I really needed.

The hotel was clean, close to several stores and restaurants, and parking was easily accessible. I was looking forward to going to the pool, but it was out of order. We checked in at 5 pm, noticed that the AC was set on 65, but was not very cool. We set it at 62 (the lowest it would go) and left for dinner, hoping for the best. When we returned, the room was barely cool. I spoke to the person at the front desk to see if we could switch rooms, but since it was a holiday weekend, they were booked and had nothing else available. I asked for a refund, so we could go stay somewhere else, but she said that only a manager is authorized to do so. I did a live chat with someone from IHG and they said that someone would reach out to me ASAP. I never heard from anyone and did not get refunded.
