The Palmer's Guest House is right next door to the famous Palmer's Restaurant Bar and Courtyard. We visited San Marcos to see our new grandson. Because of the facility we enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were clean and cozy and equipped with everything you need.

Great little get away!

You know things are good when you never have to talk to the property manager. All was ready upon our arrival. The dinner at the restaurant was so a nice touch. Beautiful, food was amazing and great atmosphere. Great place for a mother-daughter get away

Cutest Guest House

I love The Palmers Guesthouse! This is my 2nd visit! It is cute, clean, and close to the square! The back patio is so relaxing! I look forward to staying there again soon!

Great stay! Lots of charm at this cottage style place. Better for 2 people. We had 4 in our party and it was just a little small for us. But overall, amazing place to stay. Palmer’s Restaurant had exceptional food with great service.

Palmers Guest House

If you stay here eat at Palmers. The food and atmosphere was great. You are within walking distance of downtown with lots of food choices. Park the car and never need it until leaving.

Quick weekend getaway

Had a wedding to attend in Wimberley and decided to stay in San Marcos. The location of the guest house was perfect. My fiancé and I both lived in San Marcos years ago so it was nice to come back and venture around the square. Definitely would recommend this property and will for sure be back!

A Gem!

My husband and I stay here every time we visit San Marcos. Kristin is awesome to work with and the food at Palmer’s (their restaurant) literally next door is always delicious. My fave space is the tiny, private patio out back. Perfect for coffee in the morning and wine sipping in the evening. Very clean and comfortable with a Hill Country vibe.

The Cutest Little Guest House

The Palmer’s Guest House is super cute and was perfect for my son and I to visit my other son who is a student at Tx State. It’s close to the square, the San Marcos River, and many historic homes. We loved it!

The Palmer Guest house is a comfy and convenient place to stay in San Marcos. We also enjoyed going to the Palmer Restaurant. It was a very comfortable place to wind down after a day after a day on the river. I highly recommend it!

Perfect stay

Myself, husband, and 18 year old daughter were in town for TXST new student orientation. The home was neat and tidy. It’s best for two but we only needed the couch bed for one night as our daughter only stayed with us the night before orientation started.Location is super close to campus. You could walk if you don’t mind walking up a very steep hill. The welcome gift of wine and a 30 gift certificate to the Palmer Restaurant was much appreciated. (Side note the home is next to the restaurant which I highly recommend). I would most definitely stay here again!

Weekend getaway

My wife and I needed a weekend get swag back to her old college stomping grounds. The Palmers guest house is perfectly located within walking distance to great restaurants and bars, but far enough away that our stay was quiet and peaceful. The guest house was clean, cozy, and the process was easy. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Anniversary trip

The Palmer’s guest house was perfect for our anniversary celebration. We ate at Palmer’s restaurant, excelllent food and drinks. I am picky and give the restaurant A plus! They were so kind to us and acknowledge our anniversary. We were walking distance from the square so didn’t have to uber which was perfect. The guest house was cozy and perfect size for a couple. Communication was best I have ever had. The bathroom is small maybe in need of few shelves for belongings but that is all. Everything else was fantastic!

Wonderful gem in San Marcos.

My daughter stayed here while in the “flex” period for apartments. The unit was exactly like the photos - but better! There were little extras (coffeemaker, fridge, surprisingly roomy closet). The unit was exceptionally clean, and the outdoor patio was the perfect bonus. The owner was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive, and answered all questions quickly. I am so glad we found this place, and will definitely be coming back to stay when we visit San Marcos.

The Best

This is the BEST place to stay when one visits San Marcos. My daughter and I attended the Mermaid Festival parade and TXST football game! Too much fun!! We had a Friday night dinner at Palmer’s to kickoff our weekend and Palmer’s Sunday brunch to close out the weekend. Our food was delicious: crab cakes, chicken fried, bacon pasta, salads all fantastic! Service exceptional. Cocktails yummy too! Hostess, Kristin always available yet never intrusive. An Aveda concept salon is a few steps away. Downtown too. The cottage is cozy. Stay here if you can! I have, since 2019. Never disappointed.

Wonderful Guest House

We really enjoyed the guest house and it's location! Palmer's Restaurant was a great spot to eat, but there are many other good choices within walking distance.The private covered parking area was a big bonus.

Cute and accommodating

This was a quick overnight to enjoy my university town with my best friend, whom I met there almost 30 years ago! I had no idea this place existed behind Palmer’s! It was a great spot to walk around. Coffee and breakfast location just a short walk away, and the place itself was cozy and private.
