"I guess it will never change . I stay at Encore Boston Harbor a dozen times per year and while the rooms and choice of restaurants are great, if this hotel would not have a casino and actually compete with other 5 star hotels they would fail miserably. I am a VIP member of Expedia which comes with certain privileges at this hotel. They let Expedia believe that one of the privileges is WIFI but that is not true as everyone receives complimentary WiFi. It sort of shows the values of this hotel and management. The hotel is unable to match OTA reservations with their existing data base, they need to do this manually and most of the time they just don’t. It is an issue with the WYNN company for many years and although any other 5 star property would have addressed by updating reservation systems , again Encore Boston Harbor chose to lie about it. I own a hotel so I know very well how the system works and also know when I am lied at. Even managers go that extend only to back paddle when I point out why the excuses don’t hold. When you are an Expedia VIP member, a WYNN reward member, stay a dozen times per year at this hotel , you will never be recognized - they don’t want to put the energy in matching OTA reservations with existing guest profiles. Many don’t work longer than 6 months here ,so they rely on computers and guest profiles, which they don’t match. So you always have to give your phone number etc and never are recognised a loyal guest. A big mistake for a 5-star hotel!"
