45th Anniversary celebration

New, spacious and clean. Plenty of room for our extended family. Enough room for food and cooking. Many spaces to relax on the property. Beach and water great for the kids, deck for the adults and fire pit for all! Very nice place!

My family and I had a great stay at this home! The house was impeccably clean, spacious, and fully stocked with everything we needed. The EV charging outlet in the garage was a great convenience. Beautiful views

I rented this home for a girls weekend and this did not disappoint. The home was clean, well stocked and comfy. The owners have thought of everything! Detailed instructions and good communication with the owner made this stay run very smooth. The outside was so relaxing and beautiful views of the lake. We are already talking about how perfect this would be to rent again.

Beach Vacation

The size of the lake was perfect for our kids ages 2-9! We had three families and had more than enough space. Communication with the owners was extremely easy. We also rented a boat and jet ski on Castle Rock for a day, which was just enough of a bigger lake experience and super close.

Amazing Place and host

We stayed at the property for a reunion and it was a perfect fit! The house was as very clean, easily accessible, and had everything we needed. There are lots of cooking supplies already at the property and water toys (kayaks, stand up paddle boards, water mats, etc.) The host, Jim, was very responsive and a delight to work with. 10/10 would recommend!

Amazing property!

We truly had the best time at this house with our large group of friends (10 adults, 8 kids from ages 1-6). The sand beach was a huge hit with all of the kids, and the water was clean and super swimmable and had a bunch of water toys (kayaks, paddle boards, communal floating docks, floating lilipad) that kept them entertained for hours. The house was big enough to accommodate us all without feeling tight.

Great spot for 3 generation family getaway!

We had three generations staying for a family getaway and we all had a great time! There was plenty of room for everyone and we all enjoyed the time on the water and outside. Plenty to play with and the setting was cozy and felt safe even with younger children playing. We had a couple cold / wet days, but even with the cooler temps we all had lots of fun. Using the fire pit was perfect, too, for the evenings. The house was well-appointed and we had everything we needed. Great game closet and we loved having warm water in the outside spigot! The hosts were super responsive and helpful both leading up to our trip and during our time there. Thanks for a great stay!

Great for families of all ages!

James was the best host. There were ample accommodations for our extended family of 18, including an infant. Located on a lake with a nice sandy beach where we could kayak, paddle board, fish, & swim! There was also a lily pad & water toys. The grill worked as represented. Firepit was enjoyable (until the mosquitoes came uninvited). House was comfortable temperature-wise last week. Parking was not an issue. Kitchen was well stocked with trash bags, and there were plenty of dishes, silverware, & pots & pans. We would definitely love to come back!

New, clean, comfortable beach house

This may be the place our group comes back to. It was super centrally located between Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison & the twin cities. Felt like a brand-new house. All furniture & beds were comfortable. The common spaces were well designed & light-filled. We didn’t have beach weather, but the small lake has continuous beach all the way around. It’d be perfect for families with very young kids. One of the best-stocked kitchens we’ve found. Lots of dishes & silverware plus serving & cooking dishes, small appliances, and lots of grill tools. All in all, a clean, comfortable, convenient house that can accommodate quite a lot of people!

Great Property but some minor issues

This property was a great stay for our family despite some minor issues. The property was great. Comfortable furniture, nice kitchen, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, etc. The outside property was ideal for hanging on the back patio (except when it rains), the back lawn, and on the upper deck. The beach area and the provided beach toys were fantastic (except for the weeds in the lake) and provided so much fun for the family and kids young and old. The communication with the property managers was great. They were very accommodating and did a great job meeting our immediate needs. There were a couple of issues. We received a noticeable amount of conflicting information for check in/check out times (after 3 or after 4) and procedures such as where to store which water toys or water craft. The lawn care team came one day with a weed trimmer and riding mower and was trying to cut the grass while we were in the back yard...NOT SAFE!! He was accommodating to cease but did not seem happy. The house needs a deep cleaning for items like dead bugs in drawers, a couch that did not look like it had been cleaned properly from a previous renters, and dirty baseboards. Lamps on the night stands in the bedrooms would be helpful for navigation going to bed or reading. Some window blinds on the east side would be helpful. If the deck had a rain collection system, it would have been great. The house to the north had something like this. All in all, a great place to vacation!!

Our family was blessed to spend an entire weekend at this wonderful place!! It is a grandparents' dream to have all your children and grandchildren together under one roof. Our dream was fulfilled in this clean, spacious, and beautiful home! It had everything we could possibly need to have an amazing time, including a well-stocked kitchen and even a coffee bar! Our host was extremely gracious and answered any and all questions immediately. We couldn't have asked for more and are already talking about doing it again next year!!

Truly the best "cabin" getaway for anyone with kids. The home is large with enough bedrooms/beds to accommodate our large group (10 adults, 10 kids ages 2-7) and is stocked with a bunch of water and sand toys. The lake is so clean and swimmable, and because it's not very deep it is relatively warm - perfect for kids who are in and out of the water. The owner is also very accommodating and responsive, letting us know when we could check in early and allowing us to stay and play at the beach after check out.

My family truly enjoyed this large and airy house next to a perfectly size Lake. The balcony and patio were wonderful perches to chat on and watch the kids splash in the lake below. We appreciated the ability to use the kayaks, Lilly pad, and paddle boards, as well as many toys and games. The house is situated within a quiet wooded landscape near larger lakes, state parks and many delightful restaurants. A lovely place to connect with friends or family.

So good we rented for a 2nd year!

The is was our second year in a row at Jim’s property. We liked it so much the first time, we immediately rented it again after we returned home. So much to do for all ages on the lake - kept everyone busy for hours!!!! House was large enough for our big group of 16 ranging from 2 years old to retirement age! You will love it!

Great place for family.

This was a nice, well equipped home, and plenty of room for our family of 11, mostly adults. The property is very well equipped with anything you might need in the kitchen and outdoors. Nice lake for the kids, with the bigger lake close by for boating.
