Great Week in New London!

We absolutely love this property. It's in a peaceful and quiet location, it's beautifully appointed and the owners are super responsive. We have stayed here before and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing experience.

Weekend girls trip

We had a great time staying here. The rental was BEAUTIFUL and very comfortable. I actually wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the property more! Communication with the hosts was always prompt, kind, and clear, and all the directions for parking and opening doors etc. were very clear. Would definitely stay here again!

Home away from home

The property itself was beautiful! It had views of a beautiful garden and a golf course. The house was so bright and spacious and quite comfortable. The hosts were charming, friendly and so accommodating… they truly made our visit quite memorable. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit New London

Charming and Comfortable Home near New London

We had a lovely stay at this wonderful home! The house was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Tom and Kem were gracious hosts and had spiced nuts and sangria awaiting us upon our arrival. We’ve stayed at other local lodges and Tom and Ken’s tops them all! We look forward to visiting again!

Special cottage in New London!!

What a wonderful spot the Shaker Bear Cottage is!! We were in New London for a Colby Sawyer college reunion, and this was the most perfect place to stay. Our hosts Tom and Kem are wonderful, and their cottage is so lovely—-spotless, well appointed with anything we would need (kitchen, bathrooms) and was tradition New England decor. We loved our visit!!!

Another Wonderful Stay!

This is our second stay and it was even better than the last. We decided to stay longer this time because we enjoyed our first stay so much. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had a lovely pitcher of fruit tea and snacks awaiting us upon arrival! Kem and Tom are so friendly and helpful. We look forward to our next stay!

Winter Delight

Extremely comfortable, extraordinarily well furnished with attention to every single little detail! A five star hotel could not match Tom and Kems hospitality and concern of our comfort. House is extremely clean and in a great location. Back yard is awesome if you like to hangout outside and enjoy the outdoors with a fireplace. Owners are wonderful, super nice and very helpful. Overall enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay there again.

Best vacation ever!

Kem and Tom were amazing - right there to greet us and so helpful with anything we needed. Their place was beautiful- so well appointed - they left us treats, pulled out games for the kids snd told us about special events happening in town. They turned a short getaway into a real vacation. We were thrilled!

Quiet family vacation

House was beautiful and had everything we needed. Hosts were amazing! Very friendly and accommodating. They always made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. They even set up the fire pit and grill for us. Located on a quiet road off the golf course where you can sit on their deck and enjoy the quiet and views.

Outstanding property....outstanding hosts

We had a wonderful week in New London. This property is a quiet and scenic location right on Lake Sunapee Country Club's golf course. The house was perfect. Tom and Kem couldn't have been nicer and were always available if we needed anything. We come to the area a couple times per year and we will absolutely be looking to book this property in the future.

NH ski weekend

The house looked great on the listing, but was even better in person. Great setting and location. The house is beautifully furnished and well stocked. Outside of the food and drink we consumed and the clothes and ski equipment we brought, everything needed and more was on hand. Thanks to our gracious hosts!

What a charming abode, gracious hosts, comfy beds! We loved our visit and can’t wait to come back!

Hosts had the fireplace crackling and ready, every amenity possible. The house was lovely, Inviting and everyone felt so relaxed and at-home. Abundant charm as well, from the bevy of oriental rugs and antiques to the potted plants and fresh-cut flowers. Hosts were excellent communicators and even offered to mail us the blankie my daughter left behind. Best experience!

What a beautiful setting and friendly hosts! My wife, daughter, and I arrived to a beautifully equipped home that is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. We were thrilled and instantly comfortable. The location is an easy drive to New London where there are restaurant and coffee shop options and the setting overlooks a golf course. And the hosts are kind, warm and attentive. Top notch!
