This is a Raised 'Shotgun' Double built in 1929, completely renovated in 2006. This rental includes Living Room, Dining Room, Full Kitchen, Laundry, Bath, 2 Bedrooms (2 Queen Beds), & Back Yard. It is wheel chair accessible. . The rental is four blocks walking to the ferry landing. The Algiers Ferry runs every half hour to the French Quarter ( 5 minute ride). We had a great stay at this property! The location was great, the house was clean and comfortable, and Bruce was a great host. If we come back to NOLA, this is the first place we’ll check!
Comfortable property, great location. We had a problem accessing the property on arrival, but the host was immediately available and resolved the issue within minutes. Hope to return.
Loved being able to walk to local restaurants. Easy walk to ferry. Cute neighborhood. Place was set up with cool looking furniture. Low ceilings might be a problem for tall people, which we aren't. Definitely would stay here again. Felt safe.
We were very happy with this property. Close to the ferry, a quiet neighborhood, very spacious bathroom, and a great taco place nearby. Was nice being able to park off the street. This worked out very well for us.
Quaint wonderful spot. Perfect little place for me, my husband & daughter to stay and enjoy Nola. Very clean. Great neighborhood and great places to eat in the neighborhood. The Barricuda Taco stand across the street was my favorite. The house is just a couple of blocks to the ferry, super convenient for going downtown. Will definitely stay again on my next visit.
Overall our stay was great! The beds were very comfortable and I loved the gas stove in the kitchen. The couch and chairs were uncomfortable BUT I feel like if you would use those chairs as accent chairs in each room and get some new living room furniture in the living room it would be helpful. A couple minor touch ups and this place would definitely receive 5 stars from everyone!!
It was a very convenient location near our daughter. A waste basket in the bathroom would have been nice. The shower was our only complaint. It had no pressure. Other than that it was very nice.

Basement apartment
Ceilings are low, under 6ft in some spots. If you’re 5ft 8” or taller the ceiling fans will hit your face if turned on. The entry door would not close without lifting the door up. The bottom hinge was not attached correctly. One closet door had water damage and/ mold covering it completely. Appliances and furniture are old and out dated. AC was being turned off via wifi during our stay. Decent location. I expected more for the money.
The property was clean, the beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels. The ceilings were much lower than we anticipated, with 2 guys 6' and over, they had to be very careful not to get hit in the head with the ceiling fans.
The kitchen could use more updated non-stick pans with lids that fit, more silverware and there was no dish washing soap to hand wash the pans that had food stuck to them because they weren't non-stick. I didn't feel the host was the most communicative, his answers were very short when i did ask a few questions and had in issue with a Walmart delivery. I didn't feel he was very helpful. The location was perfect for our plans to attend Mardi Gras, the ferry was a short walking distance from the home.

Great neighborhood if you enjoy laid back atmosphere. Taco place across the road and good coffee shop down the street. We went during Mardi Gras and enjoyed ourselves very much.
Nice, quiet neighborhood with many little eating establishments within a block or two walking distance. The taco stand across the street, the bakery/coffee shop around the corner, English pub and the Dry Dock restaurant two blocks away along with the ferry to the French Quarter were extremely handy.
