Tuvimos un problema con el aire acondicionado a las 23:00 y no había nadie que solucionase el problema ni nos dieran una solución hasta el día siguiente que nos cambiaron de habitación. Por lo demás , todo OK, pero que no haya nadie a partir de las 22:00 que hable idiomas y gestione problemas, MAL

We love the Hampton Inn on Canal. We’ve been staying there for a couple of years, back when it was the Hotel Vinache. Hampton Inn’s major renovation has transformed it into a real jewel. And the staff is excellent, especially Brandi, who is the manager. It’s an interesting property. Back in the early 70s it was a dormitory (Hawthorne Hall) for Tulane Medical School. The first time we stayed there, Alice said, I think this was my dormitory when I did my Master’s degree! Sure enough, it was!

Unsafe someone walked into my room unauthorized.. room was double booked front desk gave a key to another guest that checked in 8 hours after me when my room was already occupied. Front desk clerk was very nice and pleasant but the incident was unacceptable!!

I loved our stay at this hotel. Staff was so nice and attentive. The hotel was walking distance to the French quarter which was amazing we spent most of our time out there walking. The area was was ok. I came out here with family. I would recommend. It was also worth the price.

We enjoyed our stay and found the hotel the location on Canal St to be very good. The breakfast was always the same, good but no variety. However, confusion with housekeeping really was a negative to our experience. We were not told when we checked in that we had to request housekeeping (specifically garbage removal and clean towels). We were told this on our 3rd night as the room was full of garbage and towels when we returned to find our room as we left it. When I checked out the next morning, I was told we did not have to request housekeeping and it should have been every other day. We were a party of 5 and didnt make a mess, but we did have leftover food containers that did not fit in the one very small trash can and a lot of towels that could have been taken by housekeeping.

Everyone played their part, with the front desk always willing to assist. The breakfast staff was quick to restock breakfast items, and the housekeeper ensured the room was tidy. The hotel only lacks a parking spot of its own!

When we first checked in we were on the 6th floor where our room smelled like paint. I thought that I could handle the smell but I couldn’t so I went back down and told the worker about the problem and he fixed it right then and there with no questions asked. The only thing I didn’t like about the property was the smell in the elevator smelled like sewer and the breakfast wasn’t good I only ate it once out of the three days I was there. The elevators will close on you so you have to watch out for that also but it’s better than having to take 10 flights of stairs. This property was only a 5 minute walk to bourbon Street. Which I liked but it was a pretty decent stay and the price was affordable. I will be back so hopefully they’ll hire some better cooks for us next time lol.

The property was being upgraded. The room was excellent and clean. The door did squeek really loud but I presume the frame was a bit twisted. Outside the room the fire alarm and the fire exit door needed some work to them. The free breakfast was great and so was the coffee. Only issue were the elevators. Hard to fix something very old into the new standards. I will say the staff tried their very best to assist. I would return to this hotel. Thank you. Allison

I stay at this property each time I travel to New Orleans. It’s a few blocks away from bourbon street so I am away from all the commotion which I love. This year was a little different. Upon checking in I immediately noticed the hotel was getting work done. I was not privy to this or I wouldn’t have booked. The work started early each morning and was loud & interruptive. Had I been aware of the construction I would have booked elsewhere. Then, when I checked in they gave me the wrong room. I paid for a room with a separate living area. Once I noticed the room was not what I paid for, I went to front desk where I was asked if I touched anything because they did not want to “mark the room dirty”. They moved me to the correct unit and the air did not work. On the second night, the elevator was broken and my party and I had to walk up 12 - yes 12 - flights of stairs. The front desk apologized but basically said if we wanted to sleep that night we had to walk up. At the end of checkout (I stayed Thursday left Saturday morning originally I was booked to stay Thursday through Tuesday) I asked if due to all the disruptions and inconveniences if I would receive any discounts on my bill and was told no. I asked for a receipt when checking out and was giving something that showed I paid $0. This wasn’t the best experience and I am not ecstatic that I had to pay full price for a trip that I cut short due to the Hotel not being up to par.

The people were very kind and accommodating. Room was very clean, but you can tell that they were in the middle of renovations. When I booked it was recently Hotel Vinache and by the time of your stay, I got a notification that I booked the Hampton. But really nice place and I would stay again.

This property only has two elevators and only one works at a time, only 3-4 people are allowed on at a time! We had to carry our luggage up and down multiple flights of stairs

When checking in, the reservation was not in their system since booking through Expedia and the hotel was bought out 1 week earlier by Hilton (I get it).. they had someone clean our room and it was ready in 30 mins. Very accommodating. Lots of renovations going on. Ice machines were not there. The manger was very helpful in filling our ice chest from the back. Only 2 elevators and must’ve been years old. Too much weight causes it to stop. Both were down half the time, waits were long, it stopped at almost every floor every time even if no one was pushing the button, and when checking out hauling bags down the stairs was not the most ideal situation. They also didn’t have parking there so we had to park down the street.

Property is under renovations... Elevator runs slow. Could hear the workers at 7am and all day long. Would not recommend! Not handicap accessible.

I initially booked it as the Vinache but by time we arrived they had converted over to Hampton Inn & Suites. I called a few times on the day of my arrival to get info about parking and Essence was very informative and sweet. Upon arrival all of the front desk had smiles big and bright and they were very knowledgeable about everything regarding entertainment, eating, parking, parades, recommended apps that would be beneficial for our stay and so forth, Brandi provided us w a list of happenings, bars, restaurants and even family friendly options. The next morning we met CoCo who was also very welcoming and sweet. There was another guy as well that was very helpful, didn’t get his name but just know the Staff was 10/10 w smiles :) They are still doing some renovating on the property but it was quiet and very clean on the property as a whole. We stayed in a double suite on the 15th floor that had a great view of canal street. We are booking our rooms for next year prior to leaving to ensure and secure our stay. It’s a perfect location because it is just a few blocks down from where the parades are so you are able to still have access to come and go in your vehicle. They are still working on the elevator so have some patience. it will soon reflect the totality of the hotel as well. It did not disappoint even in transition.

The hotel was great. The room was comfortable and clean. The only bad thing was the elevator went out and we had to walk up 14 flights of stairs. But I'm sure with the renovations that will be on the list to fix. The breakfast was not a breakfast. It was a bag breakfast. But the rooms were great. We had a group and all rooms were beautiful and clean. Great location.

The room itself was gorgeous and the front counter staff was very helpful when needed. That being said, the hotel is under renovations currently, which is not listed anywhere. There is no hot breakfast, but bagged breakfast is available daily at the front desk. Bar is also inoperable due to reno. There is no cold water in the rooms, so grab bottled water. The main issue we had was construction crew member walking right in to our room while we were there. No knock, no nothing. That made me super leery about leaving the room unattended. Not sure if construction staff is aware of which rooms are occupied or not, but that needs to be addressed. That could turn in to a very dangerous situation given the right/wrong customer.

Said there was parking there was no parking. Also was not let know that it was changing to a different name, went around 5 blocks looking for it until i got fed up.

I loved the location. It was a beautiful hotel And we had a great city view. It was clean, however the hotel was under construction and we weren’t aware. We were on the 15th floor, and the elevators stopped working so we had to climb 15 flights of stairs up and down every time we wanted to leave our room. we were never compensated for this and had to deal with it the whole weekend. That was probably the worst thing about the hotel. I was satisfied other wise:
