Sonesta Hotel hotels in New Orleans, Louisiana

"Air conditioning was good. Room was quiet. Towels were ok. Shampoo was chintzy. Wine bar was aesthetically nice but charging $59 for a bottle of wine you can buy at the supermarket for $14 was ridiculous. "

"My experience with the Jung was very mixed. In terms of the positives, the staff (especially Lisa at the front desk) were very nice and welcoming. The pool was very relaxing as well. The robes were nice and plush (although I had to ask for a bathrobe as it wasn't in the room when I arrived). And the bed was comfortable. The room and the hotel had a nice aesthetic overall. In terms of the issues, they were small but plenty. The ice machine on the fifth floor didn't work. More concerning, the ADA automatic door opener on the outside of the building was not working. Being on crutches, this made getting into the hotel a slight inconvenience. Also, the hotel cafe was not open during my stay (even though there was a sign in the hotel lobby suggesting that it was). The hotel elevators struggled to work after a hard rain, making getting to my room at night a bit inconvenient. And on top of that, my room key didn't work (I was told that the keys tend to deactivate when held close to a phone or a credit card). Thankfully, Lisa was there to help me. Also, soundproofing can be improved, especially under the room doors. Also, the toilet was very wide, making it quite uncomfortable to sit on. Considering these issues, it is hard for me to consider this property a four-star hotel or consider recommending to a friend."

"Staff was very helpful by suggesting excellent local restaurants and walking directions. Hotel had a fabulous location right in the middle of Bourbon street activities! The deck overlooking Bourbon Street was great for people watching! We’ll worth it and highly recommend!!"

"The hotel is centrally located. Even though my room was maybe 20 feet from Bourbon Street, it was very quiet."

"The breakfast buffet was far and away the best breakfast selection I have ever seen in my entire life. From fruit to cereal to an omelette station, they had everything one could ask for. A mimosa was a great way to start my day as well. Bacon was available every day. I had a choice of points or breakfast and I was glad I chose the breakfast option. Room was ready well before my arrival time which was beautiful. Staff was terrific and the food at the bar was surprisingly reasonable. No pool at this facility. Room was great and had a great view of the Mississippi River from my bedroom window. Hotel was in a great location, well within walking distance of all the tourist attractions. I would stay here again in a heartbeat although it wasn’t cheap."
