It's in a great location, and there's not a whole lot of noise. I was in a room next to the elevator, which is usually pretty noisy, but I didn't hear anything. I would definitely stay here again.

If you’re looking for a hotel where you can check in and never see a staff member again, You probably won’t mind this place. Staff who were available were great, but few and far between. Amenities are lacking, no coffee in the room for the coffee maker. door staff/valet seem like placeholders rather than employees engaging in customer service. They engaged with us once before never looking up from their phones, even on the rare occasion when they actually opened the doors for us.

This hotel absolutely does not merit the rating it shows online. It was dirty, rusty and service was terrible. They gave one soap for a 4 night stay, did not replenish toilet paper without being asked to, left piles of dirty sheets, wet towels and garbage in the hallway for days… when we checked out early in the morning the person at the front desk was fast asleep and snoring. We would never return and would never recommend anyone stay here.

Location near financial district and world war 2 museum was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Street cars were noisy during the night. One elevator was out of service but didnt impact us.

No housekeeping - struggle to get new towels. Also tried to purchase parking for half the stay and was charged for my whole stay, just leading to headaches. Tried to pay once I checked in, but they also charged me when I booked instead.

I would definitely stay here again because it has a very quaint and cozy vibe. The lobby shares a doorway with a swanky restaurant. I had some glitches with the TV streaming but it could have been a user error :-). Safe area.

There was no one staffing the fri t desk on my arrival and no note explaining that the Front desk person was attending to another guest. Waited for 5 minutes which was fine except it was a little unnerving not knowing g where anyone was.

Nice hotel on St. Charles Avenue. Great steak house on first floor and an excellent cafe a block away. Within walking distance of most downtown places, yet quiet.

The coffee pot dirty. The phone wasn't working. The room had poor lighting. Room had no view. I had to wash the coffee pot before I could use it. No coffee pods were left the next day. No parking space but had paid for it in advance. TV didn't work in one of the rooms I had paid for

Perfect, clean, quiet, pet friendly and convenient spot to stay! My husband and I came to town as usual and we decided to try out The Lafayette and we were not disappointed. Front desk reception ladies were exceptionally friendly and nice, the bell men were super helpful and friendly as well. Nice restaurant right within hotel which made it so convenient to eat just make sure you pack a blazer and nice outfit because it’s not casual dining. Big park next door less than 1 minute out the Iobby to walk our dog so made staying super simple. Definitely will only stay here when we come back.

New Orleans stay
It’s a lovely hotel short walk from the Amtrak station and 10/15 min walk to the French quarter and steam boat ride and from nfl stadium too. It has a lovely steakhouse adjoining the hotel and a short walk to cafe/restaurant at the end of the street going to French quarter that does breakfast/dinner and tea. Also loads of bars and restaurants in the French quarter. Room have lovely beds walk in shower and coffee facilities in the room. As well as a tv if needed.

Comfortable Stay, Yet Could Use Some Updates
All the people I encountered working at the front desk were polite and helpful. Nothing bad could be said about the people! The room looks and smells like it needs to be updated. The closet smelled of mildew and old house. The bathroom needs the update the most. Windows painted shut, but for one. Regardless, would still come back due to the people and the location.

The staff were great, the hotel restaurant looked nice. I didn’t partake as I didn’t pack for a fine dining experience. The heat didn’t seem to work well in my room and I heard a guest across the hall making the same comment as well. It was a cold snap in Nola so that may have had something to do with it, but the hallway and common areas were all very warm so not sure the issue with my room never being more that 67. The tv and phone in room also didn’t work, someone was sent to fix it but it only worked one night. I wasnt in the room much so fine, but being able to watch the news/weather would have been nice. My flight was delayed and the staff were nice enough to let me have a late check out, which I appreciated. Overall, for the cost of my trip (less than $400) it wasn’t a bad stay.

Worst Experience Ever. DO NOT STAY HERE
This has been the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I prepaid my booking through hotels.com and upon check in I was mistakenly charged for the whole booking again. I went downstairs to the desk twice during my stay but the staff said only the manager could give me a refund. Since leaving I have called about 8 times. Multiple times I have been told my name and number would be left for the manager but I have been unable to get in contact with them. One front desk woman told me she could process my refund and email me a receipt. That was a lie and I received neither a refund or a receipt. Every time I call either the manager is in a meeting or has gone home for the day. I honestly don't know what to do at this point, the hotel is basically stealing from me.
