We had a great experience at the Millennium Hotel. The food at their restaurant “Salt” was very good. The VIP perk contributed to the meal.
The hotel is well located across from the beac, and easy walking distance to the downtown area.
Room was large, spacious, clean and tidy, the staff were super helpful when I called in lost after the main highway south was closed, I wouldn’t have gotten there without them
Fantastic location in the foreshore, large spacious room with a king size bed, chairs and table. Very comfortable bed, lovely walk in shower hit did have a little balcony with great views over the sea and looking at mt Taranaki. Location next to the shopping mall and centre.
Staff very courteous room view perfect. The microwave oven needs some warning as its position is such that the corner goes into your head when workingo
One of the nicer hotels in New Plymouth. Clean, well maintained, attentive staff and service. Down by the waterfront and easily accessible to the restaurants and bars around the township.
Will definitely book this again for our next trip
Misleading advertising by Millennium hotels, I paid extra to upgrade to a sea view and all i got was the driveway and the steel earthquake proofing beam. Out of all the rooms on this side of the hotel I got the only one without a balcony. Expedia VIP hotels are a class above this grade and it shouldn't be advertised as a credit to spend as it's only applicable in the terribly run down restaurant. I would like to say the staff are good and there are no issues with their service.
Great location across the street from the costal walkway where you can catch beautiful sunsets over the ocean. The hotel is an older property that’s been well maintained. But the star attraction has to be Salt restaurant where the manager Ramesh and his culinary staff offer meals cooked to a high standard far beyond what you expect from a small hotel. If you like lamb you must try their signature dish lamb a toru (3 cuts of lamb). If you’re a traditionalist their English big breakfast is cooked to perfection with quality ingredients (although I’m not a fan of the cibatta under fried eggs which gets soggy). The rooms are well appointed lacking only a safe and there’s even a separate tub and shower. Many of the electrical outlets are down by the baseboards rather than at table top level and in my room the outlets by the bed didn’t seem to work.
