Nice Place to stay

I was accommodated with an early check-in for work. I would suggest fixing the back door to make it feel more secure. Great location for commuting around the city.

Perfectly comfortable

We stayed about a week and the location could not be beat. It is only about two blocks from the Red line, shops and lots of restaurants, too. The kitchen had just just enough for us to prepare a few simple meals ourselves then hang out on the big comfy couch. We did bring some of our own blankets and pillows--there were no extras. Nothing fancy, but overall nice and relaxing.

We loved everything about his home! It is charming and very clean and tidy. It is a cozy place to stay with a lovely outdoor area. It is near everything, and so walkable! Angela is a wonderful host and very communicative. The check in instructions were clear and easy. We will probably come back since we were visiting our daughter in Harlem. Thank you!!!

This Brownstone was Every and More for Our 4 day stay. It is in walking distance to the historic Apollo, shopping and food! The owner responded immediately when contacted about our only issue, the tub knob came off. Needless to say, I would stay here again!!!

Great apartment in great location

Me and my mother stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The apartment itself is big and spacious but could have been a little bit cleaner. The area is nice with good shops, restaurants and bars nearby. Only a short journey by Subway into Manhattan for sightseeing. Great communication from host. Overall would recommend and would stay again.

Great space in incredibly convenient location

AMAZING space! Was so excited to find a place with so much space and a fully outfitted kitchen! (Most places I stay have a decent kitchen, but no dishes or tools to actually USE the kitchen!) with so many things being so convenient, we were able to sleep lat, attend ALLLL the theatre, an then come back and make ourselves full delicious meals! Also, when there were concerns about the unit, they were PROMPTLY addressed and fixed! I highly recommend this property, but only when *I* don’t need it!

Decent location and very nice place to stay

Overall very happy with our stay. Was very convenient and was a very nice place. Back patio was a cool addition. Second bed was a little uncomfortable but not horrible. Everything was clean and was an enjoyable stay.

Great location not too far from CCNY

We rented this apartment for a work trip to CCNY and it worked out very well! The apartment was a nice size, extremely conveniently located, and clean. On street parking was no problem and public transportation is close if you don't want to drive. The host was very nice to deal with. Highly recommend!

Perfect for us

For the price, this place was perfect. Close to a zillion amenities. We are not “city people” but we felt safe. It was the weekend so no problem with street parking. The host was extremely responsive, and went above and beyond. We had an issue which she addressed quickly, and the maintenance person was very professional. Kitchen is updated. We would like to stay again when we return.

Upon arrival, Angela WELCOMED us & helped with entry into the apt. She was responsive during our stay. The apt was clean & spacious. The backyard was a nice area to socialize. We would consider staying there again.

Good base for NYC visit

Property is easy walking distance to Subway and good restaurants. Trouble with heat was addressed but communication was spotty. Made for a chilly first night. Spacious apartment with nice kitchen and dining table. Beds were comfortable. Shower wasn’t hot.

Chill stay in a nice location

I rented this property when my daughter had back surgery nearby and it worked for me and my family. It was 10 mins from the hospital, the property was clean, great backyard, and the host was very responsive to any questions we had. She even sent her son pretty quickly just to help us figure out the tv and the heating system. It's also in a nice neighborhood on a relatively quiet street.

Amazing stay

Apartment exactly as described. Very convenient to subway, stores, and restaurants. Neighborhood not the best but we still felt safe. Angela answered all questions and texts quickly. I would definitely recommend staying here and I will stay here again

Perfect for what we needed!

This location was perfect for a quick couples trip to NYC. Located close to two subway lines, it allowed for easy access to areas all around NYC. The apartment was fairly bare, but served our needs just fine. We had an initial issue with one of the room air units, but Angela was easy to reach and responded quickly, and the issue was resolved. We would definitely stay here again!

The apartment is recommended

The photos already show the apartment. The big table, the big gas stove, the rooms. Everything is there to feel comfortable. What could be improved is that the number of plates is doubled and enough cutlery is provided. The street where the apartment is located is quiet and peaceful. The residents look at you with interest. We had a lovely, relaxing week in the apartment.

Very comfortable home in a nice block

I can really recommend this VRBO to anyone who’d like to explore Manhattan. I’d say don’t only try to venture south into the touristy areas, but also try to support the local shops in Harlem. The people truly care and deserve the respect. How much they care can also be experienced in this clean and lovely decorated home they set up. I can truly recommend a stay. An advise for European travelers: Yeah, of course as every metropolitan area New York has drug addicts or more criminal areas. Here I’d recommend to stay out of the projects, south Bronx and east Harlem.

Great place to stay in the middle of Harlem

My family had a great stay in this Brownstone! It was a real NY experience. The neighborhood has a dope vibe! Everything you could need is easily accessible. 2 subway stations are a close walk. Can get anywhere in NY easily. We went everywhere and had no car. Really stellar restaurants steps away. Bodegas and coffee and shopping all a block or 2 away. A few small critiques are that there was not a lot of bedding. My son slept on the couch and we had to go buy blankets and pillow. Because what came on the 2 beds was bare minimum at best. TV situation not that great. minimal dishes. We would absolutely stay there again.

Okay place if you spend most of the day in the city

I (from Switzerland) was visiting New York with my 15 year old teenager daughter. We used the place mainly just to sleep and for that it was okay. Nothing exceptional, but okay value for money. We were warned by local friends that the area is dangerous, but felt safe walking in and out of Harlem to the city as well as by tube at all times and had a really good time in NYC. Took a while to get the Wlan going due to a wrong password on the webpage, which should be corrected. Had no contact with the landlord, but chech-in and check-out worked well with key in the safe outside of the house.

Our getaway to NYC

I loved the neighborhood. The apartment looked like the photos. It was quiet. It could have had some better pots and pans. We had trouble checking in but only because we did not know that it was a basement. The owners responded fairly quickly
