Hotel is in a prime location - Easy walk to Penn Station/MSG, Times Square, Macy’s, Bryant Park & restaurants. Hotel staff was wonderful. Check in/check-out process was easy. Hotel was modern & nicely decorated & we were given cards to get one free beverage per person. There’s a limited selection of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. The reusable water bottle along w/water station in the lobby was nice. Not sure why there is such a high Amenity Fee when there aren’t a lot of “amenities.” Rooms were small, even for NYC standards, but comfortable - planned to be out and about anyway. There is a coffee maker in the room (we didn’t use), but no mini fridge which would have been helpful. Bathroom had great lighting, but the shower leaked so there was water on the floor post shower. The bathroom is mirrored on almost all of the walls which was a little off-putting, but fine. There are dispensers with soaps & shampoo/conditioner. However, most of the dispensers were not locked, & therefore did not feel comfortable using. Area around the hotel has a lot of traffic but couldn’t hear it from the room. There is open intravenous drug use by the homeless that frequent the street which, as someone who lives in a major city is not new to, but I was with my preteen & not something I wanted her exposed to. There were also a lot of men constantly hanging out a few doors down on bikes. Overall, the area felt fairly safe and doors get locked at 7pm & only accessible by keycard. Nice stay.
