Weekend girls getaway

In town for a funeral

The space was plenty roomy. With small children it was good to have separate spaces. The kitchen lacked a few things for full scale meal cooking (knives, sheet pans). A list of recommended take out and restaurants would be nice. Frank's pizza and the Chit Chat diner (go early!) were highlights.

Beautiful home!

We were very impressed by this beautiful and spacious home. This home was well kept and clean. It was good to be only 30 minutes away from the city and it was equally nice to stay in a warm and quaint town, that was closely situated to shops, local stores etc. We will definitely book again when came back to the area.

Amazing Getaway House

We took our son to see a Broadway show for his 20th birthday and this house was an awesome place to stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and there were ample towels provided. The Wifi worked great. My husband loved the deck for reading, and we took a couple of walks up the hill to catch a great view of the city across the water. Lovely home and lovely neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Quiet, peaceful, great location

This house was perfect for our family. There were 10 of us in town for a wedding. We were all comfortable. The Orange Train Station is very convenient (8 minute drive) for those of us who wanted to spend the day in Manhattan. We also enjoyed the Thomas Edison National Historic Park/Museum that is about 6 minutes away. The owner is wonderful, patient and responsive. She gave us a great recommendation for pizza. The check-out duties were the typical list of stripping sheets and taking out garbage and were not a big deal.

5 Day Stay

House overall was comfortable, beds were comfortable and our large group was able to spread out. Kitchen lacked a bit, the can opener didn't work and there wasn't a corkscrew for wine bottles (we bought one and left it behind). The propane tank for the grill was empty, so I paid the $20 and left it full for the next person. Aside from those minor issues, this is a good home for a large group and overall a good value.

Not so newly renovated

The house had plenty of space, and lots of off street parking. The neighborhood was also very nice. The house, however, was not newly renovated; the deck, furniture and walls were showing wear and tear. The heat did not work in the lower level, and the extra blankets were not clean. We also had trouble getting into the property (given wrong code, door was blocked by a mat and the lock was loose).

New Jersey vacation

My Canadian family stayed at this VRBO for 6 nights. They are very happy with the place. There were 2 4-year old twin boys and a 2 year old boy and some adults. There was plenty of room to run around. The place has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms as advertised. It is clean and well supplied. There is plenty of parking space. The owner was always available anytime for questions. She's very accomodating and very pleasant and took care of everything. I will let my family stay there again when they come back.

A Blessing from God for My Family!

Our stay at this beautiful home was truly a God send blessing during a difficult time for our family. Following the passing of my eldest sister, we needed a comfortable and central location to gather and support each other. This place exceeded our expectations on every level. This home was situated just minutes from the church, shops, and other family members, the location eliminated unnecessary stress and travel time, allowing us to focus on what truly mattered. The host and her daughters were incredibly warm and welcoming. They even came over to provide more linen we needed and met my family. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and were readily available to address any needs or questions we had. Their kindness and attentiveness added a personal touch that made our stay even more meaningful. The house itself was simply perfect. With ample space for our entire family, we never felt cramped or crowded. The large driveway easily accommodated multiple vehicles, alleviating any parking concerns for brothers nice vehicles while in the city. This beautiful home offered both comfort and convenience during a challenging time. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a welcoming and spacious haven in this area. We will not hesitate to stay here again! Thank you Anne Marie & your daughters!

Nice place for a group

We had a family of six adults and two children who stayed here for a funeral in Livingston. It's a great location for any event in north Jersey, because you're just a short distance from I280. The house has a lot of room and a lot of parking space. The beds are comfortable and 2 of the bedrooms are on tbe lower level. That's convenient if you have some who are on a different sleep schedule. The laundry room is on the lower level in its own room, which keeps the noise level down.There were a few negatives that should be corrected. Some basics such as salt & pepper shakers and trash bags were missing. The water heater was not adequate for number of people. My wife couldn't bath water hot enough for a tub soak after a long drive. The rear entrance requires most people to bend over to avoid hitting their heads. There was also a piece of sharp metal on the edge of the siding near that back door on which I scratched my head. Needless to say, that was not a great way to start our visit!One more negative you should know about: the bathroom for the master bedroom is very small. It's not big enough for two people. That wasn't a problem for us, but it might be for some people.Overall, I'd say it's a nice place for a group.
