The daytime frt desk gentleman are rude, not helpful, unpleasant, and ot the least bit welcoming. So bad that in my numerous stays I avoid th The night and weekend staff are the opposite

Excellent gem in not the best area but right in town. Parking isn’t too expensive and some free street parking is available right across the street on alternate weekdays.

Tryp is beautiful. The beds are comfy. The staff is friendly. It’s centrally located. The decor is modern and fresh. The restaurant has good food. I’d happily stay here again.🙌🌻

Was perfect for attending a concert at the Prudential Center. We walked there and back to the hotel and had no issues.

Hotel was great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and very spacious. The wait time was fairly long for the restaurant downstairs. Other than that no other complaints.

So Thankful for the free shuttle to Newark penn station. Driver was very helpful I was Extremely grateful for the Door to Door service. The Dutch restaurant food was delicious. Breakfast buffet fabulous. Quick service . My room was comfortable and cozy. Easy check in and check out Top Notch hotel five stars. Please add to room a microwave and fridge for storage and reheating of food and drinks

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The only negative I would say is the shower only had luke warm water. Everything else about the hotel was amazing my friends and I truly loved staying at this property. It’s very convenient to the stadiums and arenas!

The building was nice, but the guests on our floor were loud most of the night & the smoke alarm went off twice during our one-night stay. Breakfast also started 30 minutes late the next morning.

The location was nice. If you have a disability it will require some effort. Although there is a ramp to check in, the door is very heavy and they do not have specific parking for the disabled. The parking is $20 a day and you self park in a very small lot and walk around to the front entrance. The hotel restaurant is very convenient and the food is great. Iron your clothing before you arrive, if need be.

The people working there were really nice and this is a New Jersey experience in the middle of Newark New jersey. I am from here so it's my comfort zone. Definitely saw some black mold in the shower in an otherwise very modern bathroom ;the exhaust system in the room is noisy and I figured I would not be able to sleep but shutting the bathroom door helped in this context. The view out the room is into a filthy alleyway so again one must be prepared to be in downtown Newark, but for a Transit stay when you need to be here for one night or so while you're on the way to the airport this is just fine , and there are plenty of wonderful historical buildings in the area though you have to be on your toes for homeless and other such marks of urban blight.

The food was good on site in the hotel. The aesthetic of the place was cool. Parking was easy, and conveniently close to the prudential center where I went to see a concert. Quiet, clean, and friendly staff.

Everything was good except a few things n our room was not clean -the table between the double beds had dirt in the cervices on the side -peeling paint in the bathroom behind the faucet -there was something gross on the walls in bathroom- damage to different areas on the millwork along the floor
