Beautiful restored building ina cute town with good restaurants in walking distance. The keypads are somewhat tricky needing multiple tries, but an easy way to check in.
My only suggestion would be to add a comfortable loveseat or chair in that massive room. Tiny chairs to low for “older” guests 😅 But the room is pretty and the bathroom amazing.
It was really lovely. One of the nicest places I've stayed. Great location in town and on the river, beautiful room, historic building, quaint downtown shops, complimentary cider donuts and chocolates, great coffee. We had a tiny little kerfuffle at check in ( no front desk, just keyless entry) and the owner graciously gave me the suite instead of the regular room. Treat yourself, you deserve it.
The stay was quaint and comfortable. It was very spacious and very clean, I loved the memory foam beds and the bathroom! The bathroom was awesome and would definitely stay again
What a beautiful room for a beautiful stay! It was spacious and was very comfortable. The bed was perfect and the shower with 2 shower heads was fantastic. Loved the style of the room as well. The little bakery treats were a nice added touch and truly enjoyed. Close to shopping, dining and parks. You won’t be disappointed! Definitely will be coming back.
Very nice spacious room with new walk-in shower. No lobby. Entry codes texted to me day of stay. Very nice. Walk to dinner with choice of 3 restaurants within a block. Would gladly stY here again.
This was an amazing find. Easy parking and in a small quiet town. Every little amenity has been thought of in the room. Very comfortable bed, very clean, love the coffee station, and the home made dessert station by elevator. Was traveling alone and felt safe. Easy directions texted for checkin and services.
Easy to walk across for several dining options and a really awesome saloon that had great food as well. Across the street from acute little mural, which makes the kids happy with Instagram worthy things… Also within walking distance was a beautiful river where you could rent kayaks or tubes. Quaint little town and awesome place to stay.
Though a small town means small hotel (there were less than 10 rooms on our floor) this one has quite the big personality. From high ceilings and chandeliers, to exposed brick walls, this place was the perfect mash of 1800s historical with modern day amenities. Checkin is all electronic as the hotel was started under covid. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was huge! The location was also perfect to being able to experience all that the little town of Newaygo had to offer, as well as not being too far from Grand Rapids. On top of all this, there was a small pastry station where there was always something freshly made to snack on. The one annoyance I had was that, being an older building, you could sometimes hear your neighbors rolling their bags down the hardwood-floored hallway. But its an old building, so that was just part of the charm. We had such a lovely time and would gladly stay here again in the future.
This place is a great combination of historic and modern: the walls and floors are old, and everything else is new and high-quality (including a fancy shower, effective HVAC, and digital locks). We’ll definitely stay here again if we’re in the area!
