"Arguably the best place I stayed for the last year of travelling. Previous guest wrote something about water.. lol. It is in wilderness and I know what well water is. Normal smell of iron sometimes, absolutely normal, safe to use in and of course not good to drink like any faucet water. Therefore stores sell drinking water. Overall VERY nice place, super friendly host. Thanks "

"My first impression was this might be the best hotel in the Black Hills, but then little things started to add up to make me change my mind. First, try to get a room on the ground floor, especially if you have a pet. Our room had a doorway from the parking lot, and another door on the opposite side of the room that opened into the main hallway. It was really convenient to have multiple ways to access the room. Plus the beds were really comfortable. But then a few little things decreased my opinion. My toilet seat was really loose, to the point I couldn't really use it. There was a table in my room, but it was so squished against the bed I couldn't comfortably sit there to eat or work. The parking lot is pretty small for the property. We got back late one night and there wasn't a single empty parking spot. We ended up parking across the street. Lastly, the breakfast was subpar. The best thing I ate there was a dry biscuit. The scramble eggs were terrible, most likely fake eggs. The gravy for the biscuits and gravy was mostly water. I might stay here again, but I'd look around a bit more first."
"Second time staying there, 1st time 5 years ago. A decent place to stay, a little oddly laid out but it works. Clean room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was the usual, okay but nothing to brag about.
Would stay there again."
"The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast had a great selection of goodies and hot coffee. I highly recommend this property and will be back!"
