"Hotel was clean and would have been a great stay if it weren’t for the riff raff that seemingly held a leap frog wrestling competition above us ALLLLLLL NIGGGGHHHTTTT LLLLOONNGGGG …. We complained and the lady went to tell them we complained and it got worse… then we were over it by 6AM and when complaining about it again at the front desk the lady just basically said why didn’t you keep calling me about it? …. Wellllllll because you went against your own standards and not only ignored the disturbance but made it worse and somehow you want to make it my fault for not continuously informing you thru the night? Idk, I think a 2AM call and then an in person complaint at 6AM should probably raise some flags but she still didn’t do anything about it other than be very unapologetic about it. It was myself, my 4 month old baby (who didn’t make a sound), her dad and my parents … we were more than reasonable to wait until 2 AM … and then tolerated 4 hours of jump off the bed tuck and roll competitions before we finally threw in the towel. No beach, no breakfast, drove back to their house in Riverside for a nap. Ruined birthday and the women at the front desk did not seem to care at all about anything other than laying on that futon in the back room behind the office. I requested a call from the manager, we shall see…. I WANT to deny the charge on my CC just to get a call back TBH… the people above us can pay for us."

"The dining room offered a minimal menu but my order - salmon, mash potatoes and vegetables - was excellent. The breakfast buffet was bountiful and fresh. My only negative comment is that the water pressure in myshower was poor."

"Beach view is nice. Parking is convenient. The property just needs some paint and fix some water damage on the walls in the bedroom. The bathroom has absolutely no counter space, which makes it hard to get ready. If you want location, location, location, this is a great place....however, a little overpriced for the age of the property."

"Clean room and property. Very annoying trying to get in and out of valet at night as the lobby bar here is a local watering hole. Valet charges are insane @$74 a night and takes 15-20 mins to get vehicle each time. Worst part is the people coming aren’t even staying at the hotel they live close by and are clogging up valet bad. Coffee bar downstairs is convenient in the AM but also over priced."

"The Resort is fabulous ! The moment we arrived we were greeted by a nice valet who provided us with bellman service, which was not his job. He was so accommodating that I wish I could recall his name. He was the ideal representative of your company. He assisted us in getting our baggage to our room, and was informative about the amenities of the hotel. We enjoyed the few hours we spent on the Duffy boat. The waitress in the restaurant was very nice, and also a great representative of your establishment. We loved every moment at the Balboa Bay Resort."

"I almost want to keep this gem a secret but my family had the best week here. We came for Disneyland and enjoyed the hotel pools and nearby beaches way more than our day there. "
