Noisy but Nice

This place has a great location and slept 5 of us with a potential for a 6th person. It had all the amenities but it was noisy from the people staying above us aboveabove us

Great location right at the beach. 3 rows from the sand. super location. surf right there! close to everything you need. house was clean, owner was very responsive and had good communication. we would stay there again.

Incredible Beach Getaway

The location of this place is absolutely incredible... Literally steps from the most gorgeous beach. The garage was great and made venturing out and parking a breeze. The house was perfect for our quick stay and had all amenities we needed and then more. I will absolutely stay here again (if I'm lucky enough that it's available) when I travel back to CA. Thanks for the hospitality!

Absolutely everything was great except the local neighbor west of us hates renters and draped about a dozen filthy wet and sandy towels all over my brand new car to send the message . Not sure if we are getting our security deposit but we are hopeful . Ran the beach towels through the dryer literally 5 times and the were still wet

Great location

The location was perfect! Just a few steps to the sand. Because it’s so close it’s very easy to track sand in. With 4 kids we were sweeping multiple times a day. There is no outside water spout to rinse off. We used water jugs and refilled those. I loved having the washer and dryer. We used it often. We cooked all of our meals for 8 people. Unfortunately the kitchen table only has 4 chairs so we had to take turns and some had to sit on the couch. There were plenty of pots and pans to cook with. All appliances work great. There is no toaster or blender. We ended up buying some cheap ones from Target. There are no condiments so bring your own. The listing says sleeps 8 however the couch is suppose to sleep two. It’s a very far stretch to say that the couch sleeps two. It is not a real mattress. Just the bottom of the footrest pops up. Luckily we had kids sleeping on it, but it’s definitely not a bed. The rest of the beds were comfortable. Two rooms have twin beds and the master has a queen. Over all we would stay here again it’s a cute little house with a perfect location.

Great Stay

Place was as depicted. Great place to stay, especially for beach access. You might want to note that this unit is on about 70th street, and the boardwalk doesn't start until about 40th. If you want more isolated beach play, this is great but not so great if you want to walk/eat by the boardwalk. Had a small issue with the water heater, but we resolved it ourselves. Warning - This unit is on the main floor. If the upstairs guests are noisy, you can hear everything. If they're quiet, no problem. All in all, would stay again.

Loved the Newport Getaway

We loved staying so close to the beach. Loved the location and convenience of getting to other parts of the city. The condo itself was a bit small and the bathrooms are tiny, but we survived it.

Newport Beach September

Great location with easy access to the beach. You get what you pay for in the unit. Pictures listed are a bit dated. To bad roof top deck is not allowed to be used after dark (no lights), and no umbrella for day time. Not enough furniture for 5. No amenities (shampoo, body wash & lotion) or bath mats for floor, but has towels. Has washer and dryer near garage, but not very clean. Beach items have mold and umbrella was torn and broken.

Family getaway

We had three moms and three small children which made this location awesome. You walk out the door and you are literally steps to the beach. This property was very clean and had everything you’d need to be comfortable. The property owner was very nice and helpful and check in was a breeze. The garage was super easy to get into and we had a large van. Nice washing machine and dryer made it so convenient when traveling with little ones. The property is decorated beautifully. I definitely recommend this property. Beds were super comfortable.

Good times in Newport

Hit the beach for a few days and was lucky to be able to stay steps away from the River Jetty in Newport (our old stopping ground)...check-in was promptly handled at 3:58. Everything in Home worked well. And OC fair activities were a quick and inexpensive Uber ride away. Master bed was a tad wobbly and noisy, but it is what it is. We didn’t go to beach to sleep. Thanks!

Lovely home with lots of extras

Very simple check in. Having a spot in the garage was awesome as parking around this area is hard to find. Steps from the beach! Lovely home with lots of space. Kitchen was fully stocked, toaster, coffee pot, lots of plates and dishes. Every pot and pan you could need. Nice gas grill on the balcony above the garage. We brought lots of extras based on the reviews only to find we didn’t need half the stuff. There are fans in every room! While there is no AC it was never a problem as there are fans in every room. Deposit was refunded promptly. Definitely would stay here again just for a longer period of time.

Weekend stay

Great location. Only problem which was minor is the sheets on the queen bed. They are nice for colder months but made it to hot while sleeping. Overall, a wonderful place to stay. Thank you for sharing.

Efficient and Centrally Located

This was a great visit, I would give the place a 4.75 if I could. It was capable of sleeping 8 very comfortably. Bathrooms, bedrooms, and family area was perfect for playing at the beach or touring the area all day and coming home to sleep. It is in a great little neighborhood, on a lovely piece of beach that has dog friendly hours. Lots of surfing and fishing available in a minute’s walk. The negative points are that it was a bit ill equipped to host 8 people. There were not 8 chairs in the house for dinner, so we pulled up the table to the couch. This also affected card playing. There were not 8 bowls or mugs or forks - so we got creative at first, and then bought those items at Goodwill to leave for future guests. Also, never figured out the tv, but didn’t inquire further as we don’t really use it that much- no big loss. My husband replaced a few lightbulbs that were out, the bulbs were in the house, so no big deal. Again, not anything terrible, but kept it from being 5 star. We felt that the hosts were very responsive. All negative comments in past reviews they have addressed. It was clean, no insects, the bedding comfortable and bath towels plentiful. They had a pack n play in the closet I noticed too. Our family would definitely return. It has been a wonderful visit.
