About this property

Valley Hideaway, peace & quiet. Smoke, Vape free property. No cleaning fee.

Our Rural property is set on approx 5 acres of mature trees, gardens and paddocks. We are 15 mins from Rotorua Central, and close to all attractions. Skyline, Thermal Pools and the Redwoods are all within 20 mins. We are an hour away from Hobbiton and Taupo perfect for a day trip. We have Sheep, Chickens and Tonkinese Cats that may say hi. Valley is very cosy with a comfy Queen size Bed and its own Entrance and area to sit and relax. It has its own private en-suite. There are NO cooking facilities, however there is a Toaster, Microwave and Plates etc to make a simple meal and Breakfast. Tea and Coffee are provided and there is a small fridge to keep beverages cold. Check in time is between 3 and 6pm unless prior arranged and check out time is before 10am. We are a Vape, Smoke and Drug free property. We have a no party policy, visitors are by arrangement only.

Just an absolutely wonderful stay. Exceptionally clean with everything you needed. The bed was very comfy. Microwave provided and some excellent coffee options. Bob was brilliant we thoroughly enjoyed talking to him.. Lovely quiet and private place Bob was very welcoming would definitely recommend staying here

Staying here was like staying at a hotel. The room and bathroom are clean. We had multiple pillows and blankets. For dinner we were able to use the grill and it was all ready for us. Best place to stay on the North Island.

Lovely place to stay enjoying our long easter weekend. Thank you Bob for all your help and advise regarding our vehicle. Unfortunately it rained the whole time so we didnt get to walk the beautiful grounds. Highly recommend to all. Definitely would like to stay again.

Country getaway

Fantastic stay in a rural setting only minutes from Rotorua. Room was immaculate on arrival and Bob and Cathy made us feel more than welcome. Never far from all the fun stuff Rotorua has to offer, but far enough to evade the sulphur smell and get some peace and quiet if that's what you're needing. A highly recommended destination.

Oh my lord! This valley hideaway was one of our favourites on our trip so far. It was an ideal location, beautiful scenery, so quiet, peaceful and tranquil. We loved being at the property and meeting Bob and Cathy. Cannot thank them enough for being so kind, welcoming and warm to us during our stay. They had alot of recommendations on where to go, what to eat it was lovely. They also let us feed their sheep and hold their chickens. It was perfect. We loved the chats and the company. Thank you for having us. We loved our stay. We didn't want to leave. We will definately recommend this to our family and friends. We will be back!

Cathy and Bob were so friendly! All their animals were present too, some cats, sheep and lambs, chicken and birds. Their property is pure bliss and a sanctuary for all city people. The bed was super comfy, shower was good in temperature, the room was neat and tidy with a loving eye for detail which didn't go unnoticed. Clear sky, amazing stargazing. The room connects to their main house but has a separate entrance. We will come again, definately!!

Wonderful stay!

We stayed with Cathy and Bob for one night during our honeymoon to NZ but wish we’d have booked for longer. They are both very friendly and welcoming hosts, and the room was lovely! Very clean, so peaceful and in a beautiful location. You can park on their property near your room and you have your own private entrance.
