The staff and the facilities are excellent. There was some construction underway in the hotel but they handled it well. Complimentary croissants, coffee and juice was a really nice touch to compensate for the construction disruption in normal breakfast operation. The only negative and the reason for a four star rating was the lack of consistent WIFI. In spite of this, I would highly recommend this hotel.

misrepresented:no laundry on site, no breakfast buffet, no luggage cart,no help with luggage specifically a young man watched me load my heavy luggage and made no offer to help. i am 75 and capable, but i found his lack of concern unacceptable! the female staff especially Lyna were very professional. parking was horrible. room was hardly big enough to turn around. no luggage stands. one plastic stool; no chairs! also a black young woman that delivered breakfast was extremely professional. the only reason we didn’t leave was because of the female staff. there was no area to eat breakfast. pictures of the facility showed a large commercial washing machine, a dining room with many chairs,a buffet breakfast, a large bedroom,a rooftop lounge, and many more misrepresentations. never again!

Enjoyed our stay
We have deluxe double at the new section so it is clean and newer. We paid $10 euro extra to get the private big terrance and it is well worth it! Adds so much more room to our space. We use it every day so I highly recommend it. The staff is very nice. One thing I want to say is the faucet is small and low to the sink so it is awkward to use the sink.

Hotels Byakko was amazing! Great location, great services and the staff were nothing but helpful and very informative of the local area. Not only did they give great recommendations for beaches and places to eat but helped us book those places as well.

Its a small hotel with little rooms! The rooms are clean and small! The staff are nice and helpful and answered all our inquiries about the area and the trips! Its near medicine street and 5-8 min walk to train station! 15 min walk to the promenade which at the end of the medicine street! Didnt like the little flies around breakfast food and even outside the hotel! in kfc… i don't know if its a normal thing in Nice! Medicine street is busy touristic street so nice during the day! But didn't feel too safe walking late night from the train station to the hotel! No-one bother us but there was homeless and drunk people didnt feel too comfort!

Last minute booking on a busy Friday night in Nice where I wanted to be close to the train station - which the hotel is (easy 10 min walk with luggage). It was expensive - but it’s Nice, peak-season, and a Friday - so that’s to be expected, but the price was my only real gripe. It’s a typical 3* French hotel - well run, friendly staff, AC was fine, clean, comfortable, safe neighbourhood. Probably most suitable for a shorter stay. The breakfast, incidentally was really good as was the little sun terrace on the top floor to enjoy it. If the price was right, I would happily stay again.

We were only there for 1 night, but will definately return. Staff was extremely pleasant. Location is amazing. Our room was larger than other hotels in this range.

Loved the service ! Very friendly. The roof top balcony was pretty and very Mary Poppins esque. The room was interesting. 3 walls, no windows. The door and the sidelight to the door were solid windows. Yes. There was a curtain to pull across the huge see through glass entry door so that folks walking by to get to their rooms couldn’t see you in yours. So if you like sunlight or ambient light and don’t like to be in a fish bowl this set up is not for you. We just kept the curtains closed and lived with the darkness while we were in the room. Thankfully we were out of the room most of the time. We will not be returning to this property but everyone was very nice. Ps we were not the only ones disappointed about the rooms and the staff were kind and empathetic so it was obvious that this was not the first time they had been approached.

Great place to stay if you want to explore Nice and surrounding areas. Close to train and tram stations. Both cellular and WiFi speed and stability are weak and shaky - not enough to do any remote work.

Great little hotel, rooms are basic and our room was very small. Just a double bed and a table in there with not a lot of room to move. Great size bathroom though which looked like it had recently been refurbished. Shower was ok but did lose heat quickly so some mornings were spent with a lukewarm shower. In a great little location though with only a 10 minute walk to all the shops and a further 5/10 mins to the promenade. Staff was lovely and we arrived a few hours before check in and our rooms were already ready for us. They did take the first night payment from us about a week before our stay which we wasn’t aware off, as we did pay at hotel and this wasn’t stipulated to us, so just be aware if doing it as pay on arrival.

Lovely hotel but room 102 is awful!
Hotel Byakko is in a great location, with easy access to the station, tram network, shopping, beach, old town, literally everything you would want to see and do in and around Nice, it was a no brainer to book. Hotel is clean, our room large and beds compfy, breakfast is delicious and offers a great selection (I enjoyed pancakes each morning and fresh squeezed orange juice) but unfortunately our stay was ruined by the loud noises that would start at 2am each morning. It was clear someone was clearing cages and running up and down the stairs but it disturbed our sleep every night and being right next to the breakfast room there was no chance of a lie in as that was also very loud. We were left very tired and drained after spending the days exploring then not sleeping well but I can only comment on room 102, other rooms may be much quieter and better and so I would absolutely reccomend this hotel then as the location and breakfast are wonderful.

Perfect stay in the heart of Nice
Chose this hotel for its location, in the centre within walking distance to the old town & transport facilities & it was perfect for our first visit to Nice. Staff couldnt do enough for you. Friendly, welcoming & everything was done with a smile. Will definitely be staying here again when visiting the Cote d'Azur.

I liked the fact that the staff were quite welcoming and helpful. I felt appreciated. The room was nice and cosy and the hotel is roughly 5 minutes away from the main shopping areas. The only downside was that there wasn’t any chillers or fridges to keep stuff as lunch and diner isn’t served at the hotel. Overall a quite experience and I’ll definitely go again.

The hotel was nice and convenient for what we needed for 4 nights. It had perfect location and everything was in walking distance which was great. The staff was nice and friendly and spoke English which was helpful and tried their best to communicate with us. The hotel had lovely staff and lovely breakfast included which we ate every day we stayed. It had a great rooftop with a wonderful view of the city which is perfect. The room was small but enough just for 2 people for a short amount of time. However bathroom was small and poorly made as the shower was facing towards the wall so bathroom floor would get soaked every time in use. Very inconvenient. Also at night there was loud noises coming from the bathroom which sounded like the shower and bathroom pipes were frequently getting flush or something. But overall I would recommend for a short stay :)

The staffs are very friendly and nice but hotel wifi was terrible. I could not believe this is 3 stars hotel. I never seen like that poor condition of wifi in 3 stars hotel. When I checked in my room wifi did not work. So I had to went downstairs to ask the staff and he helped me to get connected to the other line. But it still did not work in my room. And sometime it was connected but constantly it disconnected again. Can you imagine how much it would be inconvenient?? It was extremely inconvenient. And I will not ever stay again at this hotel. And also the bathroom smelled like public toilet on the street. It smelled bad... I will not ever stay again at this hotel.

On arriving the staff were really friendly and polite and spoke very good English. The accommodation was clean and well presented. Breakfast was a continental breakfast but enough to choose from. Would definitely stay here again.

Horrible place, the power outlet don’t work Phone don’t work Elevator stop working every now and then The sink sticks ,, the water in general stinks. Avoid this place ! Usually I don’t write reviews but I wanted to take my time and put this here. So your trip won’t get ruined like mine.

Good enough motel, location is in center and about 20-25 mins walking from old town. It's located in a relatively busy section but street parking is doable if you roam around the streets a bit so you dont have to pay expensive overnight parking elsewhere. Room was spacious, clean and beds good enough.
