Our stay was very nice. Our room and the hotel was really clean. the staff was really nice and friendly. The breakfast was really good with many options to eat. They also upgraded us to a superior room which was a plus for us because it was a nice gesture.

Lovely little boutique hotel just a 5 minute walk to both Promenade des Anglais and the Alsace-Lorraine tram station. The staff are multilingual and very friendly :) The rooms are spacious, clean, and full of personality. The optional breakfast buffet was also good! My only small gripe is about the design of the bathroom. It’s big but there’s no closed shower or tub. It’s open with a shower head and just a shower curtain, so everything gets absolutely wet and slippery when you shower. Other than that, I would definitely stay again!

We stayed here for 5 days and found it good value for a short break in Nice. It is close to a street of shops and restaurants that then leads on to the Old Town. The staff of this hotel are all helpful, friendly and they speak excellent English. Our room was a good size with a comfortable bed and an efficient shower. Breakfast is unusually generous for a French hotel with items like scrambled eggs, sausages and a cake of the day. We had free glass of wine with our booking and we enjoyed this in the cosy reception area

The hotel is very close the water front, like 2 small blocks. It is close to the trans and some bus station, which you can get to the old town quite easily. The hotel is not big, a little outdated but clean and comfortable. The staffs were nice and friendly, they even recommended some sight seeing tips. There is a small by charm terrace, which guests can enjoy a glass of wine or coffee.

Really enjoyable stay - good boutique hotel in a really convenient area for dining and a short walk to the Metro and city centre whilst just 2 mins from the beach. The hotel staff are really friendly and offered great personal service

Excellent boutique hotel centrally located right behind the Negresco, 1 block from the Promenade des Anglais. Easily accessible via the Alsace-Lorrain tram station (direct from Nice airport). Pedestrian area, lots of places to visit on foot. Fromagerie, Boucherie and Brasserie right next to the hotel. Wonderful, local restaurants to the left of the hotel (if you're standing in front) or multiple options to the right in the pedestrian area. Very accommodating staff, clean, friendly. We found the room a bit small for 3 people but we know space is limited in a large city and were able to navigate the space. Noise cancelling windows made for a quiet night's sleep despite being in a high traffic area. Excellent stay - recommend for families!

Nice place to stay, but not large for families.
Short walk to the beach and shops. They wash your clothes overnight for a few, if needed. Pleasant service. Tiny rooms with no door on one end of the shower.

I really liked the staff. They must be the only nice people in Nice!! The breakfast was also great. Property on the other hand, had a really bad smell and shower was clogged.

Safe property, cute, unique boutique hotel across the street from the Musee Massena. Service was efficient and friendly, room was comfortable. Best part was the 2nd floor terrace, and the butcher, patisserie, and cheese shop all next door :) would recommend!

The location is excellent. We were able to walk to many attractions. Staff were very good and courteous. We had breakfast included and it was well worth it. Hotel was very clean and the bedding provided was very comfortable and provided restful nights.

Hotel du France is very clean, towels changed daily. Option of breakfast, staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurants, shops and beach all within minutes walking distance. We would stay there again

Horrible internet
They do not have working INTERNET which makes it so inconvenient. The internet goes out every five minutes. Staff is nice and accommodating but it’s not a viable hotel if you can’t have basic functions met.

Do not be fooled by the ratings of 9, this is at best a 3 star motel not a hotel. The rooms do not look anything like the photos, the room we had was full of flying bugs similar to fruit flies but larger and there were plenty of mosquitoes inside, it had a wet musty smell and if you turned down the air conditioning the smell would make you want to throw up. Some of the rooms are outside with doors like a motel they still use keys so if you take the second key they can’t service your room. For the price we paid it should have been a hotel we were fooled by the ratings .

Highly recommend! Excellent staff, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful; someone at lobby desk 24 hours a day; location is 1 block from ocean and walking distance from everything. Delicious daily breakfast. We would return and stay again.

Wonderful stay! Was on a solo trip and felt very safe. The staff at the front desk were so nice and accommodating. My room was super clean and bed was comfortable. Great location. Walking distance to so much! Loved it and would stay again!

We originally booked for 5 nights but extended our stay by another 6 nights.The location of the hotel is so central and close to the promenade along the beach front. The staff and all fantastic and the hotel is quiet. Would highly recommended this property.

Staff are very helpful and nice. Breakfast was good and location is close to Center Commercial in Old Town Nice and La Promenade Anglais. Everything is walking distance. Close to great restaurants Rooms are small, typical French style hotels but we are used to that style since we have been traveling to France 11 times, so this was not an issue for us.
