Following a very unpleasant experience in a different hotel in Niedernhausen, I was delighted with this hotel. Everyone on the staff was very pleasant and helpful. My room was large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious and generous. Loved it!

Nice hotel in a nice location. The room was spacious and ready to host our family with a toddler. The room facilities could be improved though maybe by adding a fridge, a kettle, and air conditioner.

Nice and spacious family rooms! Roomservice available. Perfect for a one night stay with kids. Unfortunately the parking lot is a bit of a walk (5 mins?) and it was completely full after we found the last spot (around 21:00 at a friday night). I would recommend though.

Maximum recommended place to stay

We booked a standard double room for our stay over for a night, but then one of our friend decided to join us. We called the reception few hours before our arrival and asked for a room change, instead of 2 rooms we got a full apartment in Mirador Apartments behind the restaurant complementary. The whole apartment was really clean and had all amenities needed, even a small kitchen and a balcony. We were really satisfied with the service and also the buffet breakfast in the morning. It had everything fresh and locally sourced like eggs, fresh cucumber and tomatoes, croissants, few types of marmalade etc The hotel has a pool facility as well and it’s located in the middle of Black Forest with plenty of possibilities for a wonderful day out and about.

Good value with a few flaws.

What irritated me most was that I asked for just one extra hour at check out and was denied. Parking is far from the hotel entrance and on rainy days be prepared to get wet. The fitness center is precarious. And the sauna area only opens from 5 pm, except Friday and Saturday which starts at 2:30 am. The hotel is generally good and at a good price it is excellent value.

This was our second overnight stay at this hotel en-route from the UK. The hotel is spotless and the beds are very comfortable. Our shower, however, had a gap in the doors which spewed water onto the bathroom floor whenever we used it. There are no tea & coffee facilities in the room, only 2 bottles of water, which were welcoming. There is also no fridge. I did send a request to the hotel via Expedia asking if they had any rooms with a fridge and I received a reply saying it wasn't possible but they would try to accommodate us but when I asked at reception I got a firm 'No'. They did, however suggest that we could go to the kitchen and ask for an ice bucket and ice cubes which we did, the kitchen staff were very accommodating and friendly. The evening menu is very limited, we ordered the burger and have to say it was one of the best burgers we have ever had. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with everything you could ever ask for, there is fruit and cereals, cold cuts, and lots of hot food choices, bacon, sausages, mini sausage balls, baked beans, scrambled eggs, ratatouille and potato wedges. It is an easy exit from the motorway and although the motorway is close by it was very quiet. All in all a good stopover hotel and we would stay there again.
