"I can’t believe the number of problems we had with this hotel. We’ve travelled to 77 countries and this stay was one of the top disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had given the expectations of a five star hotel. If rated as a three star it would be been a disappointment but not intolerable such as it was."

"Overall, this hotel is very average. There were a few positive and negatives. I’ll start with the positives. After asking for water and toiletries, they were eventually provided. They let me shower after checkout and stored my bag, which was nice! The room is very average, but there was a gap above the door that didn’t shut all the way which let bugs in at night. "Nice and comfy room. Beautiful garden with many beautiful birds and other wildlife. Close to the beach. Plus is for the distance to Galle Road (which is very noisy). The dinner was good, but far from great. The curry’s are way to salty. Same as for the breakfast (don’t try the chocolate pancakes). Beautiful place and very friendly staff. - Big minus for the hotels own landfill that you see if you take a walk outside the fences. They should really clean that up. Not ok! "
