A wonderful apartment in the centre of the beautiful city of Nimes. Jerome, the owner was superb to deal with. The apartment was charming, stylish, spotless and large. It is around the corner from great cafes and shops. I am definitely planning to stay there again.

This was the place we were looking for. Nimes is beautiful, not to big, great roman monuments.

The apartment is more spacious than the photos show - second floor with 3 large windows/Juliet balconies, large living rooms and bedrooms with a fully equipped kitchen, decorated with some fine art. The neghborhod is central in the fashionable older part of town-all walking and all you need to put your stuff down and get to know a place. The narrow street has shops but not the busiest street. In the evening the air cools and becomes very quiet. The owner Jerome is very conscientious.

A very comfortable apartment in a convenient location.

For the most part, everything a person needs for a comfortable stay is provided. The guest should be prepared to supply bath soap, laundry detergent if you plan to use the washing machine, and dishwasher detergent if you plan to use that. Otherwise there were sufficient supplies on hand for our needs. There are a number of stairs to go up and down in this 16th century building which should be considered if physical limitations exist. All the historical sites as well as shopping, dining, the train station and bus are within walking distance. The apartment is in a very convenient location, especially if you don't plan to rent a car. Jerome is a pleasant and helpful host who is readily available should you have any problems. This is the second time I've stayed in this apartment and both times I have been very pleased. Should I plan another stay in Nimes I will certainly rent this apartment again. I highly recommend a stay in this apartment while visiting Nimes.

Nous avons passé trois jours dans ce très bel appartement situé sur une rue piétonne du vieux Nîmes. Cet appartement est très calme et très bien aménagé avec beaucoup de goût. Nous avons également apprécié la disponibilité du propriétaire. Nous avons ainsi pleinement profité de cette ville et de ses environs dans les meilleurs conditions.

Très bonne séjour!!

L’appartement est parfaitement situé dans la vielle ville. Il y a deux chambres assez bonnes, et une grande salle fournie de meubles très intéressantes. Le bienvenu était chaleureux sans être trop détaillé. Un excellent appartement pour un séjour à Nîmes!

Excellent flat and location

Beautiful apartment in the centre of Nîmes - great location in a quiet street but within easy walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. The apartment was both comfortable and well designed; the combination of antique and modern furnishings in all rooms was particularly pleasing and exactly as advertised. The owner was most obliging, helpful and easy to contact. A delightful stay - I shall return to Nîmes again next year!

BEWARE!

Although this apartment is nice, in a great location and in a wonderful city that is where the positives end. We rented this apartment from March 31, - May 31, 2017. Sadly, we had to vacate on May 9, 2017 due to an emergency at home. The owner was informed of our early departure and he told us there would be no one available to check us out. Once we returned home we received an email from him accusing us of damaging his sofa, shower head, silverware and remote control. This is absurd. To the contrary..we left his home in pristine 'order and if we had caused any damage we most certainly would have reported it to him and expected to pay for any damages. We have stayed in dozens of VRBOs and have NEVER encountered anything negative regarding the condition we've left homes in. We reported this to VRBO and they informed us that we were under no obligation to pay him any more than the 300 euro deposit we gave him. He is insisting that we pay additional money to have his sofa recovered. HUH? We have asked for proof of damages repeatedly (photos, etc) and he has ignored all of them. He has called us liars and threatened us. We feel his business practices are unscrupulous and we are most distressed and disappointed by his actions. There are many rental options in Nimes and I suggest you steer clear of this one and rent an other. This has been a nightmare.

Stylish Comfort in City Center

My husband and I spent five nights at Jerome's lovely apartment this fall. It was wonderful. The photos and description are absolutely accurate. The apartment is beautifully decorated and completely equipped. The location is excellent for exploring the historic center of Nimes as well as being a base for day trips to places such as the Pont du Gard and Avignon. Because of street construction in the center of Nimes, we did not find the parking garage near the arena but we parked at Les Halles parking garage, which was every bit as convenient to the apartment (and it was a great excuse to visit Les Halles almost every day, which I would recommend). We thoroughly enjoyed wandering around and through the pedestrian center, stopping for coffee and pastries or drinks and nibbles in the many cafes and shops. We took a couple of day trips during our stay which we also enjoyed. After our excursion to Pont du Gard, we stumbled upon a restaurant, Les Jarres, in Castillon, which was fabulous. Excellent food, bright blue skies and big maple leaves drifting down from the trees on the square. It was almost heaven. Jerome and Brigite were very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends. Thank you, Jerome, for a delightful stay.

Very nice and good location.

The apartment was as advertised and very nice. An excellent location. Jerome and Brigitte were very helpful and responsive. Directions for the washer /dryer would be helpful but I managed. Good restaurants close by and very friendly people. I would recommend to my friends.

Ideal location + nicely decorated falt

The owner was indeed very friendly! The appartment is as shown on the Pictures and the location is very Central in the old centre just 5 min walkinh from the arena in cosy small alleys. No cars are allowed inside the old city centre so you must park a 5 min walk away (not for free). Take a taxi from the Railway station. The flat has no air conditioning and is in a very old building so you need to appreciate the oppourtunity to stay in a really historic site! We loved it!

Muy céntrico en zona peatonal ideal para visitar toda la ciudad histórica a pie. Está muy bien equipado, con menaje y vajilla completo, pero además con detalles encantadores como copas de vino y licor perfectas (tiene una especie de brandi-pacharan riquísimo) café muy bueno, especias de todo tipo y un sinfín de detalles. Equipo de música con Cds preciosos, libros de arte y literatura muy interesantes. Resumiendo, uno de los mejores apartamentos que visitado, y llevamos varios años viajando. También ideal para visitas ciudades cercanas y de interés. Por cierto los jueves hacen una fiesta en la calle con puestos de vino, aperitivos, música con mucho nivel. Olé por los de Nimes y ciudades de alrededor, Arles, Avignon...

This property is superb. Everything about it, down to the CD selections has been chosen with the greatest of care. The apartment is clean, spacious and very well appointed. The location in the centre of Nimes makes it the ideal location for visiting the Arenes, the Maison Carre and the many other places of interest. Parking is close by and leaving a car overnight is very safe. We needed to leave very early on our departure day. This was no problem. The owners colleague met with us at 6.45am to ensure that we could get on our way!! We are already planning a return to Nimes and to this apartment.

Il aurait mieux valu y arriver sans voiture

L'appartement est assez bien équipé, dans un contexte tranquille et silencieux tout en étant très proche des attractions touristiques nimoises et des cafés/restos. Il faut d'aiulleurs souligner que, le batiment n'ayant AUCUN ACCÈS EN VOITURE, il faut se garer à 300 m. et continuer à pieds; les parkings sont tous payants (17€/jour). On aurait en plus apprécié la présence de climatisation dans l'appartement, sans doute à cause de la saison assez chaude.

"1) Owner was easy to contact both before and during the rental and responded with appropriate speed. Most obliging. 2) Directions to the property easy to follow. 3) Property was clean and comfortable. 4) Furnishings of a high standard and well sufficient for 4 guests. 5) Internet access good. 6) External noise not an issue. 7) Common area of the building was clean and satisfactorily lit. 8) No lift, but easy stair access to property one level up from street. 9) No view except onto street - but none expected! 10) Suggestions. (a) A ladies hair dryer now usually included in similar properties. (b) Doona bedding provided generally too hot, but no alternative such as a cotton/wool blanket for all beds. 11) Overall, ranks with the best of its type in which we have stayed anywhere."

"This apartment is located in the heart of one extreamly beautiful city. From the french balcony one can feel great vibe of the pedestrian narrow street below and some days even hear the concerts from the great arena. "Un appartement très agréable à la décoration parfaite sans aucune faute de gout (Avis d''un styliste de mode, qui est aussi décorateur d''intérieur). Un bon mix de meubles et objets anciens et de mobilier moderne. Un pro peu même vous indiquer que les murs ont été peint avec les peintures anglaise "Farrow & Ball". Et en plus elles sont écologiques. Il est idéalement situé près d''un musée majeur de la ville, d''un antiquaire de qualité, de restaurants. Pour faire vos courses, je vous conseil le torréfacteur "Nadal" 7, rue st Castor, pour son Moka sauvage et le traiteur "À la fourchette des Arènes" 19, rue de l''Aspic, notamment pour ses petits patés en croute à la viande de veau et de porc. Bon séjour assuré!"
