The hotel is clean and convenient. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of variety. The Onsen experience was wonderful with beautiful view of the mountains. The room we had was very comfortable for three people.

They have 2 outdoor onsens, both are wonderful. I especially enjoyed the electronic massage chairs after bathing. Also there’s a fireworks show every night behind the hotel in the summer.

We had sumptuous dinner and breakfast during our stay. The onsen is facing Toya lake, you could enjoy the view while soak in the onsen especially the outdoor onsen. Is was amazing feel. Surroundings were awesome, full of autumn foliage. We also enjoyed the Fireworks cruise ship at night.

Great stay for peace and quiet! Tattoos are no go

This a great quiet stay with many rooms offering a fantastic view of the lake. I do have to warn travelers with tattoos that they are not tolerated in the slightest and they do not have a private onsen to reserve.

2 nights stay in Lake Toya

Stayed in this hot spring hotel for 2 nights. The hotel location is great! The condition of this hotel is slightly out of date, the lift is quite small and old. The room itself is spacious. However, found that the light setting in the room can be improve (a bit dark for me). Hot spring's view on level 8 is beautiful! The buffet was great with plently of choice.

Takes your breath away!

This hotel was excellent. The view was perfect. We could see the fireworks from our room window. The hotel had 2 onsen and the upstairs one was spectacular! Buffet was great and there’s lots of amazing food options along the street. Overall, breathtaking as a hotel.

Overall experiend is good

Room is big and clean, just toilet too small for our room at 8th floor. Hotel is renovating, hope will have a bigger toilet in future. Breakfast and dinner buffet spread is good. No chance to try the onsen, hope will have a chance in future.

Wonderful location facing the lake & also short walk to 7/11 convenient store and some family run restaurants. Rooms are spacious but a bit outdated and toilet area is rather tight. It is a big hotel with many guests and they do serve a good breakfast.

Nice, huge hotel with adequate service & amenities. Please pay extra attention on your chosen Breakfast and Dinner timing, as efficient as their culture, you are expected to come within the timeslot. Nice view of the Toyako, taxi are available upon request to explore the area. Not much tourist as described in other review.

Hotel with ladies Yukata rental

The hotel is located right in front of lake Toya with direct access for viewing fireworks. The buffet dinner and breakfast provided has lot of selection but quite similar. The room is clean, spacious but aircon is weak. One bonus is that they have easy fitting ladies Yukata rental at affordable price.

We were very pleased with the location, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful everywhere. The building isn’t brand new but it’s well kept and clean. In fact I was expecting something a bit more old fashioned after looking on the Expedia listing. Overall a very nice time with a beautiful view of Lake Toya wherever you go!

Have stayed in many ryokans in the past hence was pleasantly surprised to find this ryokan modern and new! The lobby area was really modern looking and check in was a breeze. The Japanese style rooms were also very spacious. Our package was half board, so we had the buffet dinner and buffet breakfast. Both meals were decent with a good spread of food to cater to different palates. Great hotel!

The Hotel location is great. The lake is so beautiful. The hotel building, room size and breakfast are great. However, I was charged 600 Yen for the additional tax. I am not happy about the room floor (assigned the first floor) and the service did not agree to change the floor location.
