"There was an event Sunday night which was incredibly loud and lasted until almost midnight, making it impossible to relax/sleep. After it was over, there was an hour or so worth of noise from everyone getting in their cars and leaving. The television in the room didn’t work and when we asked about getting it fixed, we were told maintenance would come but they never did. The shower was barely big enough for a child. Also it was difficult to communicate with staff because most of them did not speak English."

"I had an overall pleasant stay at the Gateway Inn in Ashford, Washington. One of the biggest advantages of this property is its location—being right near the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park makes it incredibly convenient for anyone planning to explore the area. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and really adds to the experience. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. There were a few drawbacks, however. The room we stayed in had a noticeable slant to the floor, which was a little unusual and took some getting used to. The internet service was also spotty at times, although the hotel does disclose this ahead of time, so it wasn't entirely unexpected given the location. Additionally, there were no TV channels available during our stay, which may be disappointing for guests looking to relax indoors after a day of exploring. That said, if your main goal is to enjoy the natural beauty of Mount Rainier and stay close to the park entrance, Gateway Inn is a convenient option with friendly service and a great setting. Just be prepared for a few rustic quirks that come with staying in such a remote and scenic area."

"I had a lovely getaway to Nisqually Nest! The cabin was a perfect size for 1-2 people, there was plenty of cookware to use in the kitchen, and, of course, the hot tub, sauna, and fire pit were amazing. Having wifi was also a treat! The only drawback I can think of was that there was a bit more road noise than I was expecting. Still, I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a nice private place to stay near Rainier, and I would love to visit again!"
